I don't hate King Cold, but I will say he was definitely a wasted character. Considering he was the father of Frieza, and Cooler, and given how badass they were, they really could have had King Cold do more. Even if it was just a filler episode of a flash back of King Cold's past, taking down planets and civilizations with a younger Frieza, it still would have been nice to see him do SOMETHING.

Well Uub was supposedly the next protector but let's face it, everyone would hate that as much as letting Goku do everything. We all wanted Gohan or Gotenks to take over, not random black kid, who's also Buu. So Goku probably only trained him for his own selfish reasons of a good fight with his toughest ever opponent. And Uub was one of the main people who beat Baby, and he one shotted dead Rildo. And held off Omega Shenron BY HIMSELF while Goku powered up. So he did some things.

I dislike Goku. Yeah yeah main character, but he's also an attention hogging jerk and doesn't give a shit about his own family, even sometimes putting his own pride and desire for a good fight above the life of his own son and everyone in the universe. At least Gohan beat Cell but even then Goku had to butt in and "encourage" him. He also doesn't care about innocent people. He knocked a Kamehameha into Earth and killed millions while just smirking. Even Babidi called him out on that and said "What kind of hero are you?".

I may love them all, but Bra certainly is a terrible character.
