BleedingCool stated that "Toriyama, author of the manga "Dragonball Z", would restart the franchise with his first manga since Cross Epoch, and it would be available simultaneously worldwide."
So, uh... they got the title half right. Sort of.

I'm on it! Although it's weird to think how Mr. Satan would look without his facial hair.

Are you talking about
this comic?

Wow, that's actually pretty cool.
I was actually interested in a few of the mini-series released. I hope Mangastream picks up some of these like Dragon Ball SD, I really want to read it.
Although I wonder if Viz will do something with the mini series for licensed series they have, like Dragon Ball or One Piece. Maybe they can add them to the Shonen Jump 'online supplement' they are talking about at least.
I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.

Kid Mr. Satan would be awesome. I can imagine him telling the rest of the cast, "I'm gonna be strongest in the world one day!" And then subsequently, Vegeta tries to beat him up. I'm sure it will work out in the end for him, it always does

I have different hopes for this, even though it isn't done by Toriyama. If it is just supposed to be a complete gag story like DBxKochikame or Neko Majin Z, then I hope the author just runs wild and has fun to the point of Toriyama absurdity. But if it is supposed to be more of a "serious" side story, then I hope it avoids plot holes so that it could potentially fit in a canon if someone chooses to do so. Either way, I'm excited...full color too!
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

So, there IS a continuation to Dragon Ball! No Toriyama sucks, but even still, the idea's awesome. Maybe in a few years, Toriyama will have a sequel come out as well, and together, they conquer the world!
Either way, needs more Mr. Satan...and Hell, add some Mr. Buu to that.
Edit: I just noticed full color, awesome. It reminds me of when I first started reading Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, and thought "...they can put manga out in full color?"
As for the plot; serious or not, I doubt it will be considered canon. Unless Toriyama goes DC/Marvel on us, and massively franchises out DB, I doubt it; even if he gets multiple series going on at once, it'll still probably end up like Saint Seiya has, with SS: Episode G and SS: Lost Canvas being noncanonical, vs his own work in SS: Next Dimension.
...Unless Toriyama no longer gives a shit, which is actually quite possible.

Maybe only this first chapter will be in full color and subsequent chapters (if there are any; I hope there are) will be in regular black and white?
The first chapter of DB was in color (well, at least had some color), wasn't it?
EDIT: Here we go; link to Kanzentai's page on color pages in the manga:

On hiatus.

Trust me, there's a difference between normal manga color, and actual full color. The original Dragon Ball Colors tend to be light, a bit on the pale side, iirc:

Full color manga does look quite different:

Though, sometimes, a more faded color scheme might work good. But...I do like to picture the DBverse as being colorful. Not necessarily with Toei's colors (see Bulma's anime hair), but still.

I think the reason why both the (I'm going with Kanzentai's terms) Full Color Pallete and Limited Color Pallete look so faded is because they're done with watercolors if I remember correctly. I don't think there were ever any markers involved.
Now that the ability to digitally color the pages is there, I'm sure the full color for SD will look bold and vibrant. :3

Holy crap! I was just about to mention that comic because this reminded me of that! I used to love Little Saiyalings but had no idea what had happened to it. I kinda fell out of it once it became too serious and all about fighting (wow, sounds kinda like the real thing...), around the time that Pud turned evil. Is it still going?!
EDIT: Hmm... nope. In fact, I might have actually finished the series years ago and just forgot about it.

Usually, SD stands for "super deformed". I'd assume based on the title and that first image we have to go by that the characters are going to be SD.

I wonder if it will be supervised by Akira Toriyama, like the JSAT manga was? As a huge DB fan, Naho Ooishi must feel honored to be drawing official DB manga...

I'm so excited. I hope it'll be an ongoing series. Perhaps it'll even get an anime adaptation?

This is going to spark more discussions about canonicity and whatnot, but nevertheless it is new Dragon Ball and I am a fanboy after all.

Well, if it isn't even going to try to be in-continuity, I doubt anyone will consider it canonical. If it's just the comedic adventures of kid Goku and Kuririn, obviously it couldn't really have happened. I guess we'll see...

Why not? There are plenty of times throughout the series when they could have had misadventures together. Before the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai, or at some point early in the three years between Uranai Baba's and the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, for example. My guess is that'll be like "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!" and fit into an open period of time when it could plausibly happen.
Also, initial reaction is that a super-deformed style would just be ... ugh. One of those really Japanese tropes I've never enjoyed.
