I like it! Especially Tien, Piccolo and Marron fanservice. Disappointing that Marron is the "new female badass" when they could have had a less overpowered Bra or something, but still awesome. People think DBM is mindless fighting but remember, just like this comic, theres a greater shadowy threat looming over the tournament (XXI).
Anyway I think the fighting could be improved but other than that, awesome fanmanga on par with AF and DBM.
Ironic since you criticized DBM for "getting to the fights".Meanwhile Piccolo is telling Tenshinhan about some vision he's having about the universe being engulfed by smoke monster from Lost or something like that. Blah, blah, blah, Let's get to the fights already!
Oh wow. Five chapters in and suddenly you decide he has no flaws and is "too perfect?" Because that makes sense...He's super strong and mugs at the camera while he has no real flaws and a big breasted probable love interest

Most authors can give you a good understanding of who a character is in a matter of moments. Kuririn Shows up later the story and about 1 page he's bribing an old martial arts master with porn. Han Solo appears later in the story and you can tell he's a cocky morally ambiguous head strong smuggler within a few lines of dialogue. Goku's first two pages clearly show he's a happy go lucky hick that thinks nothing of his abnormal strength. (Keep in mind this IS the original Dragonball where not everybody and their grandmothers can destroy a log by punching it.) This guy is clearly boring and generic and we haven't been shown otherwise. What has he done thus far, be vaguely smug.... and steal a joke from the original Dragonball manga? So yeah... Anyway, plot seems pretty standard, which is fine, Marron is ridiculous, and I really want to know where all of these supposed traces are coming from, as I can see some.

Why did the creator decide to use a recycled character design of kid Gohan for Pan in the first place? Just because Toriyama ripped off Goku's design for Goten doesn't mean you have to make Pan unoriginal as well.
