Plus, it doesn't hold water to me even on a personal level. The first Goku I heard was Peter Kelamis (I didn't start watching DBZ until the early Namek/Freeza arc). But he's no Masako Nozawa, even if I do prefer him as an English voice for Goku over others. In fact, I like him a lot less now than I did years ago.
Usually actors try to do a role without trying to sound like a predecessor and make the role their own. For example, don't know if you own Batman on dvd, but watch the French and Spanish tracks. Batman and Joker do not sound like Conroy and Hamill. Or compare Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka to Gene Wilder's.
On topic, I'd have to say Monika Antonelli's Chaozu. I missed the Kai eps with him, but I thought she was the best English Chaozu, and don't hear anyone make reference to him.
Another I'd say (due to his not appearing to much and not having to say much) is Rhinox's Captain Ginyu. (Forgot the actor's name). I kinda wonder how he would've been if he had done the main Ginyu focused episodes.

You have a
Chaozu preference?

Antonelli's Chaozu is kind of cute. Same thing with Pu'ar.

I don't watch Kai; I can't make a comparison. Assuming she voices him in the recent video games, I can't tell them apart.

That's my point. All the Chaozus and Puars sound pretty much the same, which is why I'm surprised anyone would have a preference.

Have you ever heard the Blue Water dub? They dubbed Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT apart from Funimation.

Haven't heard, but Brina Palencia is cute. And while not familiar with her Puar, Cathy Weseluk's has a British accent while Monika Antonelli's doesn't. Oh and they made Cathy Weseluk's a chick.

Sorry about the NP but I want to get my opinion out and it may be Months/Years before a another topic like this comes up.
Anyway Mike McFarland he was awesome as Baby in GT his Roshi was pretty decent and he was pretty much perfect as Yajirobe. Also Brice Armstrong his Ginyu Slug and Yomao voice was very fitting (especially for Ginyu) and just plain bad ass. He was also a awesome Narrator best IMO.
