GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! After the credits for episode 291 plays, we get the preview of Dragon Ball GT episode 1!!!!! Just like the original Japanese broadcast! The Japanese Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box didn't even have this. It was later included as a "bonus" on the Dragon Ball GT Dragon Box. But here it is, in its proper place! Kudos, FUNimation!!
I don't want to be a mood killer or anything, but originally it aired before the ending credits, so to be exact, it's still not in the proper place.

Shame. I was hoping for textless openings and endings at least. Cool that we have the GT preview though.

That is very good to hear. Maybe a possibility of a forthcoming box? Well, I can hope. Still a nice extra to include!

Oh my god, I definitely didn't see that one coming, but that's great. Even if it didn't have any other extras, this is enough.

DBGT isn't an actual sequel as it was not written by Akira Toriyama; therefore, I wouldn't want it included in the Z box. The last thing I'd want on the final Dragon Box Z DVD, is a preview for another series lol. What a drag. Wouldn't it be much better if you just whipped out the DBGT Dragon Box and see it for yourself (even if you have a Dragon Box that doesn't have it, I still don't see the problem)? This is a plus to many people I'm sure, but it just makes me more happy that I have the JPN Dragon Boxes. No offense to anybody out there, this is strictly my own taste of things.
GT is a sequel to the anime, which this set is. The Z anime also contains plenty of filler that wasn't written by Toriyama, so do you suggest that it should all be left out, too? :|

 Wow, I'd forgotten about the GT NEP issue, considering how much I mentioned it. Time flies on the Internet. I wonder in what order the series was given to Funimation? I'm assuming the remastered Dragon Box footage is stored on digital tape, and Funi got a dupe of the tape. After remastering the original film, it was probably immediately exported to tape, meaning that the GT NEP was always at the end, but on Toei's DVDs, they had it moved to the GT box. I think we got the better deal.

That is awesome that Funimation included the GT episode preview after episode 291, really nice indeed. Also, I'm a little disappointed that they didn't include the TV specials, I guess they're saving that for the movie box. Can't wait to get my box soon. :)

Well, yeah, but that's also true of every single preview ever on the Dragon Box. Plus, all the footage is there, so the order really doesn't matter. There's no mood to kill. I'm pretty sure I could count on one hand the number of people who would be upset about this.

Are you really going to open that can of worms again? They included a preview of another series. Big deal.

Because FUNimation audaciously included a preview of another series on their Dragon Boxes? Really?

I think that it's awesome to have that preview on it's rightful place as it is awesome when you imitate the TV run and watching the series from start to end.
Only f**k up from Funimation is not having first and GT series Dragon Box.

A bit odd FUNimation would randomly get the GT NEP. :?

Wow, I knew I should have checked! O.o

I guess this issue wasn't fixed on the single disc DVDs in Japan?

Is it against the rules to post a video of the NEP for GT? Is it from a previous release or something that hasn't been released in the US yet?

The only thing I remember from DB to GT is Baba looking into her ball surprised and the announcer talking about Z.

[*sigh* GT had so much potential. Yes I like GT.]

VLC player isn't agreeing with me right now and I don't feel like going through the hassel of trying to rip one of these things. It's there. It exists.

You mean the NEP for Z? http://kanzentai.com/features/dbox_perfect/dbz-nep.flv

I think the part with Baba was actually part of episode 153.

Nothing wrong with GT. The ending is far superior than Z's.

There's plenty wrong with GT. But I will agree its ending is much more satisfying. Since it actually feels like a conclusion, not to mention the montage.
