It seems so. Granted, I'm buying this one more for the region free aspect, as I don't do many DivX encodes anymore, but if you check the reviews for it I believe it does what you're looking for.

And for the price, it sounds like a good deal to me.

I want to be able to watch European movies on my American TV...
So, if I get a DVD player with a PAL/NTSC converter will they play fine on my American TV? The guy at the store said yes, but I'm kinda paranoid since I tried lots of things back in the days of VHS...

Yeah, if the DVD player comes with a PAL/NTSC switch built in, then it should definately work. Even if it didn't for whatever reason, you should be able to get your money back no problem (but it definately should work).

Thanks, DBW! That was the last thing holding me back, now I'm definately gonna buy one! It'll be great watching movies in my language once again! *cries tears of joy* ;_;
