As awesome as that shot of Goku is, why does FUNimation seem to like putting Freeza Era Goku images on the Cell Games?

Can't be. Goku's blue shirt never gets torn to expose his chest like that throughout the fight with Vegeta. Though I'll admit, the hair does look SSJ2'ish.

Batistabus, it's not the same exact purple as in Part Four, comparison:

The colour purple on Part Seven suits Cell's body parts, though an orange bar (Goku's uniform) would have been a better use than re-use a colour already presented with the Part series.

Part Eight: Gohan SSJ2 x Cell or Everyone like in the Japanese Kai set? Either choice will be awesome!

Well, looking at my box right now, it doesn't match either of those purples. Either way, I'll take your word for it. And I agree with your Part 8 prediction/hopes!

But the shirt was never torn beyond the blue layer during the Majin Vegeta fight.
Perhaps it could be from the 12th movie Fusion Reborn, if he goes Super Saiyan 2

Despite this, it's awesome to have such image on Kai Part Seven.

Isn't that what everyone said about Dragon Box, Volume 7? I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Funimation prove me wrong this time around, but I just don't see the point in speculating about it. We can't possibly predict with any certainty what they have in store for us this time around.

So episode 98 is confirmed for us then going by that commercial on the Blu-Ray. I'll hold out for the Walmart 7+8 bundle to complete my other three. As much as I want the Blu-Rays, I'll stick with DVD since you can stretch to widescreen and upscale.

You can do those two things on Blu-ray, though the stretching is zooming and so you'll loose some picture, as for upscale it's not equal to the 1080p HD quality.

Agreed. Part Seven has more of a warmer tint to it.

Just ordered my copy Tuesday. I didn't know Rightstuf shipped out new releases that soon or I would've ordered it a while ago.
But my order has been shipped today so I'm expecting it to arrive Tuesday haha.
Only buzzkill is that's Street fighter x Tekken's release day.

Part Two: Blue
Part Three: Green
Part Four: Dark Pastel Purple
Part Five: Yellow
Part Six: Blue
Part Seven: Dark Purple Magenta

So red, gray, pink, w/e listed here ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors ) could have been used.

P4 and P7 purples' used as the colours on the bar do suit the parts for the characters, but overuse is unneeded.

I know somebody in another thread created 2 hypothetical Part 8 cover choices, one was Gohan (and I believe dead Goku) from the Kamehameha struggle and the other one was based off a Japanese DVD with all the main characters. I don't mind if Goku's on the cover, just as long as Gohan is too.

My ideal cover would be one with Goku and Gohan together. I think Funimation will go for Gohan and Cell, but who knows.

Getting back on topic, I'll probably skip Part 7. The only eppys that interest me are 79, 81, and 82, aside from 80 and 88 all the others are just setting up the Cell Games. Definitely getting Part 8 though.
