That's because it would do horribly.
It would still be cool as hell. And I'm not so sure that it would 100% do horribly. Adult Swim already has a built in audience, and most anime/cartoon fans who don't watch it are still aware of what it is and what's on it. DBZ airing on it's earliest block would surely get an audience.

Not as big as the one King of the Hill and other Fox sitcoms are getting. There are a number of reasons why DBZ would do horribly on it. Let alone in Japanese.

True that. King of the Hill would (obviously) have a far larger audience in America than Dragon Ball Z would on Adult Swim. Sure, Japanese DBZ with subtitles would not be received as well as an English version would, but I still think that if they advertized an uncut version of DBZ well enough, it airing on Adult Swim could be successful. American audiences who love Family Guy and King of the Hill flock to adult swim to catch those shows, but I believe Dragon Ball Z does have a chance to catch an audience if they advertize it as a "hardcore" and "uncut" version of the old Toonami version.

Adult Swim's audience doesn't care about buzz words like "hardcore" or "uncut". Neither do they care about that old kid's show where people screamed a lot. Although AS already has some Shonen content, DBZ has a reputation in America that won't let it be successful on AS. It's just not worth the effort at all.

It may not be worth the effort, but it would still be cool as hell if it did air on Adult Swim. I just hope that anime fans who watch Adult Swim aren't so stupid as to dismiss DBZ so easily. Uncut DBZ is more than worthy of an Adult Swim time slot.

They can't help but to dismiss it. Also, how can they dismiss something that's not airing?

Maybe? But it's never going to happen.

They dismiss the possibility of it airing, at least a version they might relate to.

That's my point. It should, but never will happen.

Should? It doesn't help AS or DBZ, so why should it air there?

He hasn't been with CN for a while.

AS has aired nostalgia bait in the past. I don't see why Dragon Ball couldn't count as that.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
