For the American Z replacement music the best choice is definitely the Orange Bricks.Gotham22 wrote:Jord wrote:I'm currently enjoying Dragonball on DVD and plan to watch DBZ after finishing DB. However, when doing a bit of research I learnt that the Blu-ray's are cancelled, the Dragonboxes are pretty rare and the orange bricks are severely cropped. So what's the best way now to make my DB collection complete?
Well try to hunt down the US Dragon Boxes. If you're want the whole dub treatment like having the dub music as well then the best option is hunt the old funimation singles and the UUE or the BD sets since the Vegeta Arc is put on hold futher than the UUE. Buying the UUE You will have to sacrifice most of the Vegeta Arc. But buy the BD sets an you'll just have to sacrifice two episodes. The whole Namek Arc will have to be sacrificed up to Ginyu's fight with Goku.
In my opinion it's really pitiful that the US Dragon Boxes is the only uncut/4:3 format release by funimation.
So, is it possible to buy DBZ uncut in 4:3 format?

Yeah, but I'd like the Japanese audio so that won't do. What is exactly the reason for the limited amount of Dragonboxes?
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

We don't know. Taking an educated guess, it was likely either: (1) contractually they were only able to produce a certain quantity, or (2) based on what they perceived the sell-through would be, they only produced a certain quantity.Jord wrote:What is exactly the reason for the limited amount of Dragonboxes?

Hmm...are there any good places to look for the Dragonboxes then aside from the obvious ones like Ebay?

Amazon.com, Amazon.uk and FreePriceAlerts' plugin for Firefox.Jord wrote:Hmm...are there any good places to look for the Dragonboxes then aside from the obvious ones like Ebay?
FPA has been such a wonderful of a plugin to use since it warns me if there's a lower price than at Amazon and/or etc.
