I think it's real. I would much rather before a Budokai HD collection to atleast start off with then move onto the Tenkaichi games
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Either way it's incomplete cover/placeholder or it's fake.
Namco Bandai logo missing and no PEGI/whatever. NB didn't even announce a HD collection...

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

It was said Namdai still had two other DB games left to release this year, ain't it?

This "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi - HD Collection" kind of fits the 'real' / 'hardcore' gamers DBZ type, lulz hardcore..

I would take this with a grain of salt, the only times I see this HD thing is on some retail website someone found, not even a gaming site. Keep your eyes open, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

I don't mean to sound condescending but what's the point of a Tenkaichi Budokai Collection? I mean what's the point of having DBZ BT 1 2 and 3? Isn't DBZ BT3 enough since they're just refinements over the previous engine. It would essentially be 3 of the same games each being a little better.
I say make this:

HD B3
HD BT3
HD SDBZ

But yeah I think this is fake because of that.

Raging Blast series is basically the Budokai Tenkaichi games with better graphics, slightly better/inferior (dependable) and new/old characters.

This collection is probably just to finally shut those BT3 fans already since they were asking for this damn game on 360/PS3 long time ago.

Won't having a Budokai HD collection make more sense since this year is the 10th anniversary of Budokai 1? I gues Bandai Namco thinks that more people enjoy the Sparking games over the Budokai games?

This is fake:

Image

The BT logo is dusty as heck, and neglects the necessary Namco Bandai and PEGI rating logos. The BT logo itself looks cemented onto that picture with the PhotoShop Blend Tool. Someone just put a stroke on it to make it look nice. However, what really kills it is the fact that A) Classics HD is a banner for collections of games, not a singular one (and the cover art implies a single game), B) The fact that "Classics HD" is a Sony moniker so the 360 SKU wouldn't have that banner and C) the Classics HD banner is always on the top of the box art:

Japanese developers are also notorious for poorly storing code so I have to wonder if they (Namco Bandai and Dimps) even have the source files for the original Budokai anymore. If that's the case (which is 100% unconfirmed speculation so don't post that anywhere claiming it as a reason!) it's probably easier to to un-Yamamoto Spike's games.
SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Another reason I think this is fake is because these collections are only really done for classic games of last gen; God of War; Jak and Daxter; Prince of Persia; They are also done to show revitalization in the franchises. For example God of War was done for GoW3; Ico/Shadow was done when The Last Guardian was announced; and Sly's collection was done for Sly 4.I wouldn't lump Dragonball with those franchises.
There is no barometer for what makes an "HD Classic". Heck, this is a "PSP Essentials" title:

Image

No one would list TTT on a "Must-have PSP games" list. These are just excuses to get games back out. There are Spongebob games in the PS2 Classics section on PSN for example.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

The image could be always a place holder? I think this HD Collection would be nice for the people who don't give a shit about the DBZ Kinect game.

They may give a shit since it includes Episode of Bardock.

I will certainly give a shit about Dragon Ball Z For Kinect because I've always wanted to try out the moves, attacks and whatnot than just hold a controller and do the combos.

I won't mind buying this for the easy 360 achievements. I guess the collection could be Sparking 2, Sparking 3, and Tag Team. Seeing how PSP games have been ported over to the HD collections before then I won't be surprise if it happens. I hope some online gameplay but I doubt it.

Maybe with Tag Team mode it'd make the online mode keep itself alive. More opponents = More fun

I also never got the chance to play Tag Team since I sold my PSP in 2009 to buy Left 4 Dead on the 360. I don't plan to buy a Vita since I'm happy with my 3DS at the moment.

Now that they've added Tag Team to a DBZ game which was released in the western, chances are they'll start doing it more often with DBZ games.

Wait... If RB2 and UB didn't then I wouldn't have my hopes up because TTT came out in 2010 too.

To be honest, what would be the point of having all three Sparking games on one collection. Don't get me wrong, its not that I'm bashing the series or anything, but would any of you even bother to try out the HD BT1, when you have the HD BT3 on the same disc. All these games were just a series of progression until Spike fully mastered the game play style. They are just too similar to be worth porting them all on HD consoles. Maybe the Budokai games can get away with this since there are some noticeable differences between the three, but I'm in more favor of the Budokai 3, Sparking Meteor and Super Dragon Ball Z HD pack that everyone else is imposing.

http://www.siliconera.com/2011/06/15/sp ... h-box-art/

the coverartwork for the dbz hd collection is pretty sure a mockup too as some allready pointed out here ...

For the music, BT2's superior, but BT3 happens to have more characters.

I wonder who the hell's gonna play BT1, 'cos it's the worst out of the three.
