Why would no one know about Uncut DVDs?

ad the situation swung the other way, you'd hear fans complaining that FUNimation lied about the series being uncut because Goku and Raditz clearly spew blood in Z while they don't in Kai.

There was really no reason for Toei to do that other than being completely random. Even in that scene, you can see Goku and Radditz coughing up blood (Not in the TV version, obviously) and Krillin, Yamcha, and others get similar holes in their torsos that don't seem to be toned down in the slightest. I get the 'the heat caused the wound to close up' but that doesn't explain why they look more like bruises than burn marks nor why they didn't do this when Krillin blasted through Vegeta, Trunks blasted through King Cold, etc.

Raditz/Goku scene has no blood and Vejita doesn't cough up blood when he's on the brink of death, Kai is censored despite being uncut.

The Freeza impaling Kuririn scene wasn't censored but they made it last less than in Z.

I guess Kai censored excessive blood for TV standards in Japan at the time but still kept certain amounts of blood to tell the young viewers, "See kids? People bleed when they're hurt badly."

Personally, FUNi could've used more scenes the TV version edited in the Uncut DVD trailers so the ones watching would get the hint that, "Hmmm, I guess DBZ Kai isn't censored (as much as I believed)." At the very least...

They could've found a way around it, though. They could've said "With all of the original Kai content too obscene for TV" or something like that. So it's understood that it's uncensored by Kai standards.

The Japanese Kai DVDs IIRC have the no bloods on it due to the censorship laws changed. It's highly possible to see Gohan or Goku's gentials on the Japanese or English DVDs.

They'd have to remake the dvd's because they're based off the Japanese aired Kai.

I definitely wouldn't want that. I only want the uncut Kai. Even if it's uncensored, it's still edited.

Just re-release those again! If they remake the DVDs, it will be really too easy if they are out of it.
