I'd like to see what J Michael Tatum and/or Greg Ayres could do as Fat/Super Buu, since I feel they were the only roles that would need a change in VA.
I know you're saying assuming... But, I think you know as well as everybody else that FUNimation won't waste money doing that...
It would be just like dubbing any other Anime they already have. Besides, tell that to the numerous rereleases of DBZ.
One thing is when FUNination dubbed Kai, the script is identical to the Japanese. Now they can fix the script so it can be identical to the original script and the manga.

Other way is GT, DB, Films, Specials need to be redubbed to be identical to the original scripts and the titles can go back to the way it was similar to Kai and the original version of the series. Character names and attacks need to be properly said including the "Sighyan" pronouncation.

They might assume as well dub YSGaFR, PtEtSSJ, EoB under the DBZKai banner and as well, give FUNimation to use the English versions of Hironobu Kageyama's English DBZ songs from Mixture album as faithfully corrected.

Titles are like "Rebel! Over 1,000,000,000 Ultimate Warriors" could be FUNimation's "faithfully" redub of DBZ Movie Six.

As much as it would be cool to see them do these things, Funimation is simply not going to waste the time, effort and money that would be needed to actually do all of this when they already have a product that sells just fine on it's own.

Yeah, that would be the biggest change that Funi would have to make. But the biggest challenge is trying to cast a character that is both childlike in many aspects and can be taken seriously at the same time.

Not that Colleen is bad or anything, but she'd probably make Goten sound very much alike her Gohan... Goten's Gohan?

There's a bit of difference in Colleen's Luffi to Gohan Pre-Adolescent, for the fans of Colleen Gohan this is optimum but for the others, may be the contrary.

Like how Nozawa made her Goten sound very much alike her Gohan? I just think it would be nice to align it with the original Japanese version. Not to mention that I think Kara Edwards' Goten sounded a bit scratchy, although I guess she may've improved.

FUNimation shouldn't try to make their own Kai because it'd end up a very sloppy job, they're much better sticking to sub/dub and publish it on DVD and/or Blu-ray.

Hell, FUNimation employees who responded to a fan's question said "Dragon Ball Z originally ended with Cell's saga", so it shows how much they know about the series they're profiting so much from.

Do you know fluent Japanese to say that?

I doubt they'll ever correct the pronunciation, if they do, the majority of the fans will be quite pissed to hear an 'incorrect' pronunciation of Saiyan.

God no, Kageyama's Engrish songs sound horrible in English and instead of what he's saying it actually heads other ways. Let Vic Mignogna, Greg Ayres, Sonny or some other do a proper dub of the song.

Well, there's the Philippine English version and the fandub by midiguy at YouTube, they're both fantastic!

Btw, FUNimation should recast Goku (Schemmel), Sabat (Vejita/Piccolo) and Colleen (Gohan) to be an accurate replica of the Japanese, since that's how you guys want it, I'd like it too, tho.

Not true, it would indeed work wonderfully. Peter Kelamis and Ian Corlett from the Ocean Cast were excellent Goku imitations of Masako's Goku.

The thing is though, if English!Adult!Goku sounds like a child, then it would probably be taken as seriously as dub!Fat Buu. What makes Schemmel the best English Goku (for me, at least) is that he sounds like a man, with a degree of goofiness, but can be taken seriously.

For the english cast I think it's ok as say-an i think it would sound akward with the narrerater pronouncing it like sigh-an. Sighan seems almost too japanese for the english cast considering how americanized it is.

,but I never even watch the english dub though.

And also, people would be confusing it with the colour Cyan, which is pronounced that way.

Eh. That argument still does not make sense to me. "Seyan" is no more "American" than "Saiyan." It's only more American in the sense that that's what Americans are used to saying. This issue would never exist if English-speaking audiences had been introduced to the proper pronunciation to begin with. No one would be saying, "This word would flow so much more naturally if only it was pronounced with a long 'a' sound instead." And, really? How many people confuse anything with the color "cyan"? I really doubt that anyone thought that the character named Blue was, in fact, a color, that you could drink Oolong, or that when characters mentioned Trunks, they were hoping their underwear returned from the future.

Seeing new voices for Fat Buu and Goten could be cool to see, but I personally like the voices for the other forums of Buu. I think Justin Cook's voice for Super Buu was pretty good and his voice fit well with Super Buu's character.

I think Sabat's Piccolo is pretty good now, as is Clinkenbeard's Gohan. Both give the same feel as the Japanese.

Seriously, the wording that one guy said "Become a SUPER SAIYAN" on the DBZ for Kinect trailer has the "sigh-yan" term corrected if he were meant to eat a BLT Sandwich.

I would very much like a redub of the Boo arc, but my one stipulation (if it were up to me, anyway) would be to keep Kara Edwards in the role of Goten.

But, that's just me.

I could see them redubbing the Boo saga to an extent. That is to say it wouldn't be farfetched to see them go back through the old scripts and touch them up like they did with their Ultimate Uncut Edition stuff on the next inevitable rerelease. Rerecord a couple voices or line deliveries here and there like their partial redub of season 3. It's not much more complicated than stuff they did for the orange bricks. I guess the only major flaw with that idea would be the sudden voice inconstancy with the rest of their old dub. That and how would you market something like that?
