Do you like Dragon Ball Z Kai or the original Dragon Ball Z?

Discussion specifically regarding the "refreshed" TV version of DBZ created in Japan for its 20th anniversary, including individual threads for each episode.

Z, i love the suspense of Z, i also like how the story goes quite slowly. I also enjoyed a lot of the filler

Overall, I prefer Kai for marathon-ing or just casual viewing (both English and Japanese) since I don't have to reach for the DVD remote every 5 minutes. As for Z, I usually view it for the Buu arc, nostalgia or for checking specific scenes.

I feel like DBZ is better if I want to watch it in Japanese, but I'll watch Kai if I want to hear a nicely-done dub.

I got nothing against Kai, but I'm fine with Z as it is. If feel like some of the filler is bothering me, I'll just fast forward.

If you're asking about the English Dub, Then I like Funimation's dub more than I do Kai's. But that's not saying that I don't enjoy Kai's Dub. I also love the Japanese Dub for Kai and the original. and I love the first 3 ocean movies and the first 53 episodes. So I'm all mixed up in everything :P
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
