Guess it's a little dary, but I actually put some conceptual thoughts on it. :)

The shining yellow DRAGON and BALL surrounding the red dash are supposed to be reminiscent of the glowing Dragon Balls with the red stars in the center (the red dash could also be seen as a symbol of the Nyoi Bo and the letters as a symbol of the yellow Kinto-Un, but that's a bit farfetched and - at least - that's not what I had in mind when creating this).

The seemingly damaged letters that are shining bright were based on the concepts of:
- something old but magical and powerful (the Dragon Balls).
- what's been damaged able to be engulfed with a new breath of life (power of the Dragon Balls).
- heroes fighting, often looking damaged but still shining with energy and power.

Of course, I wouldn't expect people to think of all that when seeing the title, their typical, basic reaction should normally be "it looks cool" or "it looks bad". :D

Another example of my Tankobon edition VS my Kanzenban edition.
I have no doubt that some of you will prefer the old one, while others will prefer the new one.
And yes, I chose to alter the colors, not always because I prefer them (I like the ones by the author), but it's simply a better way to create the surprise and bring an increased sense of novelty, of "new version".
