I'm pretty happy with most of what I've seen so far for B.O.G. I like the 10 year Buu-Uub gap as a setting, the main characters are all on the poster, Pilaf Gang being there guarantees they'll be some humor in the movie; I'd like a few more mini-spoilers, but I don't want to push it.

I wouldn't mind additional movies that fill in other gaps (with DB there's so many between each arc to choose from) or pursue something like Future Trunks' timeline, but to be brutally honest, if it doesn't feature any of the characters I care about or am interested in, I'm not gonna bother with it, I just won't care. It's got to star a character I already know and am interested to learn more about. I'm sorry, but a "new generation cast" is a huge turn-off for me.
On hiatus.

It would be great if we got a true successor to DBZ.

Well shert, knew I was overshooting it, didn't think it was by that much. Open a calculator next time you do that, will ya?

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

That's not dead, though, that's evergreen. That's basically doing what Star Wars has been doing for fifty years now (Granted, Star Wars has gotten major new content, but it also has a greater capacity for major new content).

I'd love to see maybe a spin-off series of some sort. If the movies success ever influences Dragon Ball Online to come out internationally it'd be awesome to have an anime based on a few new original characters and time patrol trunks.

I'd also like to have the games take a shift in a different direction, like maybe we could see a game based on the new movie or something like that rather than "let's make another raging blast but add more movie characters".

I would be up for a new TV series. Some people don't want another because of GT, but people forget that GT was 16-15 years ago. I'm pretty sure another TV series won't be a sequel to GT and will be something totally new instead. They could try to do a show based on Dragon Ball Heroes.

I wouldn't be against a new TV series in the same vein as the new HunterxHunter. One possible way the series can stay relevant and not burn itself out is branching out of the "Z" era and doing more with Goku's childhood. Obviously it's not as popular, but they've milked volumes 17-42/Z very hard.

The voice casting getting old means that they are likely going to replace them soon and we have to deal with it. I think for the 30th anniversary, they could do some time travel film which has both generations of Goku teaming up.

Dragon Ball Generations?
Seriously though, I think I'd be happy with most anything; Specials, movies, whatever. I'm not sure I see a series happening though, unless it's a DBH or DBO adaptation. I'm just happy BOG will give us something new to play in the video games.

Dragon Ball Generations would be sick, the old cast meeting the new cast would make great moments. Like kid Gokuu meeting his sons, or Vegeta finding young Blooma hotter than old Blooma!

and....*ahem* 1,000th post!!!

The only way I see a new series being possible is if they introduce a whole new cast, with a whole new story in the vast future or past. Some throw backs here and there to the old cast, pretty much how dbo did it.

There's just no point in trying to nudge little stories into the current timeline because so much is fixed and there's no place for real big events.
Also the power scale would have to be brought down again so the new main character could start from the beginning.

I'm sure if Toriyama was involved we'd come to love these new characters just as well.

Sort of like a spin-off series akin to the Fujiko Mine series, but instead about Bulma? A short 6/12 episode series expanding on her backstory and how she got that first dragonball before meeting Goku would be pretty neat.

Well, Bulma wouldn't be my first choice, but yeah, stuff like that.

I want me a Saiyaman spin-off series with some actually competent human-villains (IE Videl has been taken hostage, is undetectable by Ki, unable to use Ki and is strapped to a bomb and unless Saiyaman can find her, boom de yada.)

It'd make for a great Sentai parody as well. Maybe we can finally get that crossover between the Ginyu Force and Saiyaman.

I guess if the movie is successful, then the Kai Majin Boo saga will end up being aired in Japan to start with.
They will try to take advantage of the current interest of the public: "you've loved the movie? Then dive back into the events that led there and go even beyond to see what the characters become afterwards, with the exclusive new Kanzenban ending from the manga being animated for the first time!" 8)

I expect more video games, and more movies down the road. A new series? Not very likely, though plenty of unlikely things have happened with the series lately. A Dragon Ball Online series would be great... Piccolo would still be around, which would be awesome to see animated.

If this movie made like $100,000,000+, we'd see a live action movie within a few years, I bet.
