Even if it was just a brief cameo fighting some quirky enemy that gets brought back to life in movie 12. I mean, Goten and Trunks get to fight Hitler and his army of nazis, why can't Piccolo do something? Although I can't really see him doing anything in Movie 13 other than just being there when they all got together to awake Tapion or trying (and failing ) to kill Hildegarn, but it still would have been better than not having him at all.
Agreed. I would have to think that . . . even if the ki of a movie villain was one so overwhelming that Piccolo would know that he couldn't make much of an impression . . . he would show up anyway for the sake of trying, or that he could at least be distracted with doing something else (as Trunks and Goten get to do in Movie 12). The fact that he never so much as shows his face in the latter movies is pretty much a sign that he had fallen so far behind that no one knew what to do with him anymore, which really is just too bad. I really like Piccolo, who deserves a little more respect than just that.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that during the eleventh movie 18 is still of a slightly higher battle power than Goten or Trunks . . . though perhaps the margin of advantage she has over them is just a little more narrow than it was against Vegeta seven years ago. 18 did completely overwhelm Vegeta that first time, but does comment seven years later that the younger Saiyans do have "unheard of" power. (Not in Movie 11, but during the World Tournament.)

Whether or not she was referring to their potential or their actual battle power at the time, though . . .

The NUMBER ONE Goten fan, and a fucking epic one at that.

Unless I'm very mistaken, the tenth movie really is Piccolo's final appearance. And that is a shame.
It's movie nine, actually (movie 10 has Kuririn dressing in Piccolo's clothings. Apparently, just to see what it's like).

I feel awfully mixed about Piccolo's non-apperence in the last few movies. He's a great character, and they should've used him more often. But on the other hand, I fear that had he appeared in movies 10-13, his role would've been little better than movie nine, where he does little more than get beat up in five seconds flat. I can't tell if that would've been as bad as Goku's oft repeated lecture, or even worse.

Well . . . yeah, technically. But we do get so "see" Piccolo for a brief moment, and I suppose that's better than nothing . . . though I'm pretty much grasping at straws at this point, so don't mind me; "Piccolo" really was only Gohan's hallucination, after all.

I guess there really is just no way to tell what could have been. I agree that it wouldn't have done him any justice to have him appear for the sake of getting thrashed every single time . . . and I'll admit that after movies 6, 7 and particularly 8 it must have become increasingly difficult to find a place, purpose or line of dialogue for every character in every movie . . . but it really is too bad Piccolo was the one to get dropped. I still think they could have found some secondary role for him in at least one of the latter movies. Perhaps Piccolo could have filled in for SSJ3 Gotenks in Movie 12 and made him wait for the next movie, since Fusion and SSJ3 are little more necessary against Hildegarn than Hitler. Or maybe he could have been helping to save people from destruction a la Vegeta in Movie 13.

Or perhaps in Movie 11, Piccolo could have been the one clearing innocent victims from the theaters! (Actually, I like Movie 11 . . . it was just impossible to resist, of course.)

Could somebody possibly do me a favor and scan the Bio-Broly card that came with the movie? The photos on eBay are horrible.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

18 is in movie 11? I might have to check it out then.

I would have loved a movie that featured mainly humans. Something with Yamcha, Tienshinhan, Chaozu, Krillin, Muten Roshi, #18 [Okay technically not COMPLETELY human] and maybe even Videl.

But yeah, Piccolo being strangely absent from the last three movies is a crime. Such a great character, gone to waste.

Especially when Toei decided to have him die for good midway into GT. :|
