I could use the time machine device to go back between late 2009-mid 2011 to get my old DB spirits back when i was in high school.

If I were Trunks in DBZ... Here's what I would do instead of giving Goku the antidote. Ask to use the time chamber for 2 whole years. Come out, go back in time machine, go back 2 days ago. Come out, ask to use Time Chamber again for 2 whole years, come out epic strong! then REPEAT!! ^_^

Heck, the others could do that, and no foe would ever hold a candle to them.

Yep. Go back in time and buy 5 copies or more of Dragon Box Z 2 and re-sell them later on.

I know it isn't fair, but my prices wouldn't be ridiculously high as others would set as, not to mention that I'd lose some of it for shipping.

If I had his time machine, I would cut a wire.

No good can come in going to the past, and making an alternate future. Better to just keep the machine around as a life-size prop.

My #1 thing I could think is buy all the VHS tapes when DBZ was first aired on TV. That stuff is HARD to find now.....

And here's something else I'd do....

I would seriously go back to a time when precious metals (particularly gold or silver) were cheap as hell, like back when it was CURRENCY. Then sell off like pounds and pounds of it today! Talk about being rich.
