Was Goku's bump on his head more then a coincidence?

I'm beginning to think that Toriyama may have had the whole "alien" thing in mind for a while. Perhaps not a "planned" thing but just something he may have considered from time to time before the Saiyan arc.

Toriyama told Whis to give Goku his bump on his head. So he somehow force pushed an evil Goku down the cliff causing him to lose his evil mission.

This was all done by Whis to ensure there is someone out there who can become the next God of Destruction...........

An interesting thought regarding that whole plot point occurred to me a while back.

See, just because Goku was violent and evil when Gohan found him in the woods, that doesn't mean he was born that way. I mean, he spent an entire year in one of those Saiyan pods being instructed to kill everything in sight when he woke up on Earth, so of course he would be violent and unruly. It's just like that machine that M. Bison used to create Blanka in Street Fighter (the movie, I mean), come to think of it.

So considering that, I believe Goku was pure of heart from birth and only got corrupted by his time in his ship on the way to Earth. When he fell into that ravine and bumped his head, all it did was give him a simple case of amnesia--the ever-common fictionalized version of amnesia anyway--rather than somehow inexplicably changing his very nature. That's my take on it, anyway.

Man, I love this theory. I'm injecting it into my head canon.

*taps syringe full of awesome then stabs it into frontal lobe and injects*

So what I'm picturing is sort of like the beginning of Superman: The Movie where Jor-El's voice tutors baby Kal-El in his space pod (on Einstein's theory of relativity, Democritus, Shakespeare, etc.) except in this case Goku's pod is telling him to "KILL! KILL! ERADICATE ALL EARTHLINGS! KILL!" in so many words.

On an unrelated note, back to my post from earlier, I'm stuck on the idea that Grandpa Gohan threw Goku off the cliff in a lapse of judgment after Goku's genocidal brattiness pushed to his limits: "Goku, stop. Stop it. You listen to me, OK -- stop it! Goku, you stop it right n--AGH, YOU LITTLE GODDAMNED SHIT, HOW YOU LIKE THAT, HUH--?! YEAH!" *watches Goku free fall down the gorge as he realizes what's he's done* ".........Ooooh crap. Guess I'm not winning parent of the year anytime soon."

Though I bet after the event turned Goku into a sweetheart, Gohan included this successful child rearing method in his book How to Raise Your Monkey Butt Baby. He had actually finished the manuscript and was going to mail it out to publishers but unfortunately (and I suppose ironically) the night before his monthly trip to the post office he was crushed to death by his monkey butt baby. It's probably for the best. He would have had to compete with Freeza's immensely popular How to Raise Your Monkey Butt Saiya-jin Prince: Make Your Stupid Monkey Dance and Kill Whilst Turning a Profit. It was the first book to featured in both Parenting and The Economist. Honestly, it was the better book. All this is totally canon, by the way.
