Ah yes, I'd forgotten all about that. We can't forget the end of the manga, where Goku anticipates a challenge from someone he expects to have power equivalent to Pure Boo. That wouldn't make any sense if Goku's got greater-than-Super-Vegetto power he can just yank out of the back room whenever he wants or needs it.
I think most of the signs here are pointing to Super Saiyan God's power not being a permanent addition, and that perhaps Goku briefly regaining the form in his final clash with Beers is just one last desperate surge before the effects wore off completely. Like how against King Piccolo, Goku was injured and weakened but managed to summon and focus everything he had left into one final attack.
Like I've mentioned already, I like it being impermanent. Magical god-ki power on such a crazy level shouldn't be something you can just do (unless, of course, you're an actual higher god like Beers and Whis to begin with) whenever you want. Having a circumstances-based ritual necessary to attain Super Saiyan God each time helps keep it from being cheap and broken. At the very least, though, perhaps having attained the form once might open Goku up to new and large gains by training, or something.

Re: Goku and SSJ God
If somebody wants SSJG to be permanent they could make the Oob thing make sense. I'd prefer to see the movie before I finalise my opinion. An official statement wouldn't hurt either.
I wonder why Whis wanted Goku to become the next God of destruction if it isn't permanent, he wasn't impressive without SSJG.

Or we could just call BOG a bullshit and be done with it, going back to the manga which is what really matters. Yes, I'm a dick, but that's 'cuz my love for DB doesn't blind me -- I'm able to identify what is bullshit and what is not, even if it's DB.Kaboom wrote:We can't forget the end of the manga, where Goku anticipates a challenge from someone he expects to have power equivalent to Pure Boo. Or maybe Goku was just suppressing himself during the fight for people who want to make it fit.
