Other from what they're saying right now, we don't know anything. It can be anything from a 4:3 orange brick clone to something as good as the actual Dragon Boxes.
That's true but I'm a grain whore. The denoising on the blu-rays of the movies really bugged me. It was there but it wasn't nearly as pronounced as it was on my Dragon Box set.

Oh, no, I meant the discontinued Blu-rays, not the Blu-rays of the movies. I didn't even think of those, since it was pretty much the same treatment of the orange bricks.

Actually, according to what they answered to a fan on Facebook, they're talking with the owners of the dub. If they get the dub, they will put it.

Castellano Kai wasn't supposed to be aired but released direct to DVD instead.
Arait never release anything to home video, barring very few exceptions.
No, no one has never said anything about DVD releases. Selecta said some years ago that they would be interested but nothing more. And dbboxkaifan is right, Arait is mostly interested on TV, they wont release anything on DVD without being aired on TV.

A guy from another forum (ADC) told me that Selecta Vision was going to release Kai in Castellano directly on DVD, but now I'm annoyed that they aren't.

Here's his messages:
Well, someone from Selecta Visión told me personally that they were working on DBZ Kai in Castellano.
Look at the almighty price: 8 episodes/DVD for 24€!!
Well, the guy working at Selecta told me that they were going to release DVD only, but it wasn't set in stone, so I can't tell you more... What Selecta Visión has been saying is that they are trying their best to get the license to dub Kai in Castellano. Have no more news, sorry.

I doubt they air it in TV, though.
I was really willing to pay 24 euros for only 8 episodes per DVD for the sake of having a proper Castellano dub of DBZ but it's 2013 and.. nothing. :(

Fake, sorry. Are you spanish?

Anyways, I have no interest in this release. The quality of the spanish audio will be the same, damaged and with robotic sound, while I know about Internet bootlegs with better audios.
They won't re-dub anything as they did on the first episodes of DBZ, dubbing censored scenes.
I think they should dub the episode titles (They deleted them because the narrator doesn't name the episode when the title appears), the Vegetto and Gotenks voice (The first one just has Gokuh's voice, and Gotenks, Trunks voice...), and of course, more censored scenes and a lot of stupid phrases like:

-Cell to Vegeta: "You are a supersoldier, from a noble lineage of samurais, you're the prince of the supersoldiers!"
- Vegeta to Pui Pui: "You're wrong, probably Babidi is more dumb than me"
- Vegeta: "I'm going to put a BOMB on Babidi's spaceship"
- Krilin about Piccolo: "Piccolo is from the magic tribe, he never had a pure heart"
- Gokuh to Majin Vegeta while fighting when Vegeta attacks him: "Nice to see you" (Is not sarcasm)
- While Kaioh Shin is talking about Buu Vegeta says: "He must be who destroyed my planet"
- Gokuh to vegeta after he told him about doing a Genkidama: "Genkidama? What is that?
- Krilin is killed by Tambourine, and Tenshinhan says, with the body on his hands: "I hope he gets better soon"

And other stuff like NO ONE has never called Gokuh Kakarotto (These dialogues doesn't exist in spanish, even for Raditz or Vegeta, they says a lot of silly stuff) Raditz or Vegeta always called "Gokuh" to Goku in the Spanish dub...
Or the saiyajins, that doesn't exist too, they're called "soldiers from the space"...

The Catalán and Gallego dubs of Kai were much better than the previous they did for Z, so chances of the Castellano being better would be possible.

Mexico: Milk
Spain: Chichi

Although the Castellano Z dub was pretty mediocre they at least got her name right, whereas the Mexican dub renamed it to Milk. Going from Chichi to Milk isn't that big of a jump 'cause they're both liquids overall, except milk is edible.

Wow, really? If it's going to include the Valencian dub, I'm getting it.

In Japanese, "chichi" means breasts and milk.

Alright, was just asking as often on our UK DVDs there are foreign subtitles. Clearly that's not the case then.

While I do apologize for this necropost, this is more relevant to this topic than it would be as new one altogether.

It seems the first set is out (since the 24th) and, unlike last time, there are no comparison screenshots from Selecta Visión themselves. (Aside from the very small ones on the packaging.)

But those are usually on movies from US or imported by some EU distribution, as local DVD's usually have subtitles only for the language of country released in, or for languagues that are almost identical or used in that one region.
Spanish DVD's are local, so they have the language of all the countries in Spain.

But for example, my Nolan Batman DVD's have each like 30 languages meant for the whole Europe. They are probably doing it for easier distribution troughout the Europe at the same time. Menu in english, only different thing are local covers.
An I have lots of USA movies like this.
But! Which amazed me, some czech movies have english subtitles included!
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88

Someone in a Spanish forum called MundoDVD already has the first Dragon Ball Z set, and has posted some screenshots. If these are accurate (I hope Puto also posts some impressions after receiving his set), it looks like they are indeed using Dragon Box masters (perhaps unrestored ones, but the same source nevertheless) but, as I was afraid they would, it also looks like they have filtered the crap out of them:

http://imageshack.us/a/img109/8325/83p5.png

I really don't like this cream-like texture at all. What a waste.
Also, the translation of the first title card says "A Mini-Goku appears! I am Gohan". Is that actually accurate? I believe that the English translations I have always seen of that episode title describe Gohan as being a crybaby, an overprotected boy or something like that.

It's correct-ish. DBZ Episode 1:
ミニ悟空はおぼっちゃま!ボク悟飯です
Mini Gokū wa Obotchama! Boku Gohan Desu
Mini Goku is Just Precious! I’m Gohan

Episode 4 talks about him being a crybaby though:
ピッコロの切り札!悟飯は泣きむしクン
Pikkoro no Kirifuda! Gohan wa Nakimushi-kun
Piccolo’s Trump Card! Gohan is a Crybaby
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

If those are accurate screenshots...that's just kinda sad. They might as well have just re-printed the old boxes from a few years ago. I was hoping to maybe get the Dragon Ball and GT boxes, since the old ones are o.o.p., and maybe replace my three movie ones from the old remaster but I guess it's not gonna happen.

Local market DVDs sometimes include English subtitles if it's believed there's a reasonable interest in the movie from the international market as a whole. People who know English are dime a dozen, so it's not particularly expensive to produce such a subtitle set.
