Raging Blast 2 or Ultimate Tenkaichi?

Raging Blast 2 is way better than Ultimate Tenkaichi. And since the whole tenkaichi 3 thing could be a hassle it may be best to go for RB2. It should be a lot cheaper now. I suggest you listen to the Kenji Yamamoto soundtrack and see if you want that or the Tenkaichi 2 one as RB2 had a copyright scandal that got rid of the original music on more recent copies.

I didn't even know it had a replacement score until I bought it

. I like the BT2 score but RB2's original score is better.

Tenkaichi 2 still has a good score. I still love Crisis and would always fight to this song on BT2.

How would I go about figuring out if it was an early copy or not? I do like Yamamoto's Kai score and even have what DVD's we got of it, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.

Check both soundtracks first to be sure which you want. It's probably going to be harder to find the Yamamoto one. It'll be hard to know the difference without trying out the copy.

The opening for both versions goes like this:

Instrumental = Tenkaichi 2 (Replacement Music)
Vocal Music = Raging Blast 2 (Original Soundtrack)

Anyone can pretty much find an RB2 copy with T2's score but as for RB2 it'll take some hunting. It's not rare, it's just slightly hard to find because the only way to know which is which is by the example I gave above.

When I get the game and if it's the Tenkaichi score then sure. If i want T2 i'll play T2.

I have played both games and have to say Raging Blast 2 is better than Ultimate Tenkaichi. What was good about Ultimate Tenkaichi is the anime cut-senses and character creation (plus Hero mode). I just love Frieza and Cooler's transformation sequences in Raging Blast 2.

I tried that. The graphics and gameplay of Tenkaichi 2 put me off right away, I used to like T2 back when it was released but things changed.

The thing that put me off the most on T2 was the weird ki charging effects. Thank god they fixed that in the following games.
Though I liked the story a lot. Loved the "RPGness" of it (fighting that random overpowered Broly encounter was so awesome)

OP: Raging Blast 2 for sure. Unless you want to wait for Battle of Z.

...Are you, by any chance, referring to those weird blue rings that move around when you charge your ki? Because for some reason, that's instantly when I think of when that game comes up.
