Strength ranges for unstated characters - your opinion
Re: Strength ranges for unstated characters - your opinion
Pui Pui is stronger than Kuririn but weaker than Base Vegeta (Buu Arc).
Yakon is stronger than Pui Pui but weaker than SSJ Goku.
Kaioshin is stronger than Freeza but weaker than a FPSSJ.
Kibito is stronger than Guldo but weaker than SSJ Gohan.
Kibitoshin is stronger than Kaioshin, but weaker than SSJ3 Goku.

Genki is only a fraction of ki though. So of course Gohan's ki wasn't enough.RandomGuy96 wrote:-Gohan's ki not being enough alone, even though he's several times stronger than Pure Buu.

Exactly. It's a part of ki. But the thing is, Gohan should be like ten times stronger than Pure Buu at least, so even a small fraction of Gohan's ki would destroy Pure Buu easily.Hitiro wrote:Genki is only a fraction of ki though. That still doesn't excuse not making Gotenks. If Gotenks was there, the Earthlings' contributions would be irrelevant.

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Of course, but if the fraction was less than 1/10th of Gohan's ki then you would need to add on everyone else's Genki to make sure it was strong enough to take out Pure Boo. I should really point out that 30-40 billion for the Genki Dama is my assumption that 30% of Gohan's ki was the Genki portion. I put Gohan around 60 billion at this point but he is probably much higher, I just used it as an example to make the Genki from the humans a decent chunk. The Genki percentage would probably be lower due to Gohan being that much stronger than Pure Boo.RandomGuy96 wrote:Exactly. It's a part of ki. And that 7-8 billion was the population of Earth. This is highly optimistic. I doubt, from looking at the number of cities and villages of Earth in Dragon Ball, that the population is that high. I was also assuming that every person out of that 7 to 8 billion all had the average battle power of 5. Where in actuality there would be a lot more lower battle powers than 5 due to a large majority of the population being children and the elderly much like our population. Taking in these factors the Genki Dama would probably be a considerable amount below 30 billion. I was just being highly optimistic. We could assume that Genki is a fixed amount of ki that never changes. If that is the case and Gohan has about the same Genki as every other human then that diminishes the chance for the Genki Dama even being above 20 billion, probably.

Since humans don't train with ki, I doubt that a child has any less ki than an adult or the short fat old farmer. The adults just have superior physical strength. It's like how Goku had a power level of ten 10 at the beginning of Dragon Ball but was obviously more than twice the farmer; he didn't train with ki until way later, and so until then he was just relying on physical strength. Toriyama also differentiated them once, I think, when he said that there comes a point where training your muscles won't help and you have to get more ki.Hitiro wrote:Of course, but if the fraction was less than 1/10th of Gohan's ki then you would need to add on everyone else's Genki to make sure it was strong enough to take out Pure Boo. At the end of the day, whatever portion of ki genki is (40%, maybe?) you still get a collective battle power of 30-35 billion being relevant next to Gohan, or at least not several times weaker, which I don't think works at all with the amount that Gohan is superior to Goku, unless Gotenks gets different SS boosts. Also, Goten and Trunks didn't form Gotenks to contribute genki. If so, I guess it'd go like:
Gohan- 66,000,000,000
SS3 Gotenks- 48,000,000,000
--SS Gotenks- 16,000,000,000
--SS2 Gotenks- 24,000,000,000
Super Buu- 42,000,000,000
Pure Buu- 26,000,000,000
SS3 Goku- 24,000,000,000
Genki Dama-
-+Gohan's genki- 22,000,000,000
-+Z fighter/Namek/Otherworld genki- 24,700,000,000
-+Earthlings' genki- 35,700,000,000
-+SS Goku's last push- 38,700,000,000

It could also work like this:Genki x Yuuki x Shouki.

Pan in GT's about as strong as a Super Saiyan, because Gohan's Mystic sperm made her base form more powerful.

But then the humans' ki would be worth absolutely nothing.PerfectFreeza wrote:It could also work like this:Genki x Yuuki x Shouki.
