I dont think NB will be trolling for long the way the popularity and sales are going for the current DBZ games. Its not too long before they`re like "OK thats enough of mediocre games, time to actually put effort and care back into are games".

I'll say it again, apart from some gems, I think the days for quality titles have long since passed unfortunately.

Although Battle of Z looks different.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

It finally came to me when I was shaving. Yes, they are. And here's why:

As we've seen once again, with GTA V (...or the Arkham series, if you want another licensed franchise as an example) that you need to spend money to make money. And that the more you put into it, the better the product will be, the more it will sell. While also giving the fans what they want.
Say what you will about the Sparking series, but the vast vocal majority of people have wanted a "true sequel" of METEOR. Remember the mass excitement for Sparking Omega? Of course, by then, Spike had struck out so many times, there was nothing that could be done.
A lot of people still want a new Budokai/sequel to Burst Limit. Their response was the HD Collection.
Then there's the problem of them not releasing stuff in the West. Ultimate Butoden was a great DS Dragon Ball game. Heroes: Ultimate Mission is one that people still want to at least try, if Namco Bandai can be bothered to bring it out here.
As a more recent case, their response to everyone wanting to play Zenkai Battle Royal...was the kinda similar, but still not the same, Battle of Z. (Someone at NB probably said "it's close enough to what they want".) Instead of spending the money and time to port it over.
(Not to mention the Kinect game. The "Gekishin Sound Kamehame-Ha" bracelets are way more accurate than the entire game.)

If they gave them the time and money, I'm sure Dimps would be able to make a great new game. And, if they took the extra effort on licensing costs, why not have not only a Japanese and English voices BUT the option for the original and american score? It would take money, yes. But who wouldn't love a great DBZ game with the voices AND music they love from it? It'll never happen, but one can dream.

If they were holding back, they're not anymore based on the low-budgets-for-DBZ-games situation they have put themselves in

That's just it, though. If they're making Dragon Ball games like this, with a low budget and quick development period, because they don't want to risk not reaching the numbers they want, then that's why they are holding back.

Dimps making Saint Seiya Brave Soldiers is a good thing. That means there's still hope that they haven't become too good, or too out of reach, to come back to Dragon Ball just yet. (And also because I had a lot of fun with The Hades on PS2 from them, and this is looking like a 3D evolution on it lol)
