I agree with this completely, if you're not going to actually use the rights for a series you own at all, then in my personal opinion you shouldn't be allowed to keep said rights.

I guess Saban got lucky since he bought all of Digimon again. I mean, that way Disney doesnt keep the airing rights of Digimon Data Squad.

Dragon Ball Z Kai hasn't left Nicktoons, it's just on a break. How do I know this? It's still listed on the Nicktoons' website. If Nicktoons had lost the rights to the show, they would've removed it from their page immediately or face legal action from FUNimation.

They'll probably bring it back in the fall once their summer lineup finishes. I'm a Z Kai fanatic so I would know if it had been taken off for good. Most likely going wait for Boo Arc.

Digital video editing isn't exactly a new art. Since this is a Dragon Ball forum, I'll use the tangentially related Blue Dragon anime as an example. One of the characters was a young girl who had some cleavage that wouldn't fly in North America. Viz digitally reduced it for their western releases.

If those ratings aren't a karmic punishment for taking Kai off the air, it certainly is for Nickelodeon not having picked up the second season of Mysterious Cities of Gold yet.

I'm content to know how successful Kai has been on Nicktoons. I remember flipping through the channels and seeing Kai on there. I thought that this couldn't be getting too many viewers could it? How wrong I was. :D
