I'm surprised Digimon One was nowhere to be found.

It's good that Dragon Ball Z got an honourable mention but that wasn't even the original music.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Neither was the Pokemon theme. Then again, when watching that I figured it was gonna just be US cartoons on that list before Pokemon showed up. But not surprised as since it was mainly US toons, it'd be what was on US tv.

Wait, Goku and Vegeta fought "several" times? What show did I watch? 'Cause I thought they only fought twice.

"Guh-hun"...sure. OK.

"Fre(i)za". If they're going to use the dub spelling, they could have at least put the 'i' in the right spot.

The mish mash of Ocean and FUNimation dub clips was a little strange. Can't help but wonder if that's going to confuse some people.
As for the picks, ehh. I think most of those moments didn't have a huge impact on me, but if I was to make a list, I might include a couple.

Yeah no. Dub fans around the world agree Gohan going SSJ2 was epic and probably the best moment in Z.

Why does it have to be the Japanese music? The Pokemon Theme is a great example of how a dub song can utterly eclipse the original. 4Kids' music is far more iconic to the international audience and it was a great song too.

Yeah it's great for nostalgia's purpose but it's just so cheesy and repetitive it just doesn't stand up to the original Pocket Monsters Theme.

As for Rock the Dragon you're mostly repeating the same for a minute and if you have difficulty keeping up with the lyrics Rock the Dragon Book has you covered. :P

I don't know anyone who knows the Japanese Pokemon themes. Heck, most guys I know who prefer subbed anime say they have no interest in the Japanese Pokemon.

As for "Rock the Dragon", don't know what country you're from dbboxkaifan, but will let you know with that they did like a US cartoon's theme. Difference between anime themes in Japan and US cartoon themes. Anime themes (at least modern ones) tend to be about a theme the show has, or something random advertising some band. US cartoons' theme songs are about the plot or mainly instrumentals that occasionally repeat the show's name, as Rock the Dragon and other shows like He-Man did. Do your native cartoons do one or the other?

What did WatchMojo base these top moments off of?

But that wasn't the real Frieza.

All this talk of Pokemon has me feeling nostalgic. Pikachu's Jukebox anyone? :D

A shounen anime? Cheesy and repetitive? A shounen anime where the main character will be 10 forever and never win a tournament and forget all he learned in the last arc and constantly trade in new, weaker Pokemon?

Why, i believe the Pokemon anime is defined by cheesiness and repetitiveness. Sounds like the first American theme was perfect.

Besides, the theme perfectly captures the entire spirit of Pokemon. It IS about catching them all. It gets you pumped to do it too, even though it's really boring and you have to find other people to do it.

Seriously though, Pokemon is one of the few anime with a very dedicated dub fanbase and it's most certainly not all nostalgia since people still watch it with DP and BW and all that. Yet I've seen nothing but praise for most of 4Kids' theme songs. 4Kids did great music, whatever their other issues. In fact, I kinda hope TFS keeps in some Faulconer music just like LittleKuriboh kept in the better 4Kids' music like the Egyptian Gods themes.
