That explains a few things. I actually started watching Shippuden again mainly because I heard the composer is working on the new Sailor Moon. Waiting to get to see the Sakura fight.

What I'd really like to do one day is re-cut the episodes into experimental movies. They'd be 2.5-3 hours long each (keeping them a consistent-ish length, rather than having some several times longer than others) with the Red Ribbon Army, Cell, and Buu arcs (at least) split into two parts, making 13 movies altogether. The reason I'd try to avoid splitting the Freeza arc is that I want each film to have some sort of beginning-middle-end structure, and the second half would consist of purely the final battle. Fights could be cut down quite a lot by cutting a few seconds here and there, and speeding up certain parts, as well as just removing filler, making action faster-paced overall.

You know, I was just talking to my brother the other day about how that approach would work well for GT, to cut down on filler.

I agree, GT could stand to lose quite a few episodes. Mostly that entire Fire Dragon/Ice Dragon/Omega Dragon fight that all just feels like one big battle.

If I ever did this, I'd also include Garlic Jr and GT movies. I think GT would be harder because it seems to have a higher content density, but perhaps four films could work. The first one would probably have the battle with Rildo as the climax and end on the cliffhanger of Baby being alive, the second would wrap up the Baby arc. The third would cover Super 17 and the fourth the Shadow Dragons.
