Dragon Ball: The Path to Power, which was an anime film, had changes and people STILL complained.

Path of Power was a decent movie. Changes will always happen when you are making a movie or TV show and changes can be fine depending how they are done. Making Goku a High School kid was stupid, but it could have work if Goku had personality in the movie. Everyone in DB was as dull as a piece of wood.

If you see the fight scenes with Ultraman Zero, the Japanese can pull off DBZ level of fights in live action.
