He's a little boy in that scene and doesn't know any better. Plus, that thing is really crudely drawn, anyway.
The latter scene might be a bit iffy, though, but I still don't think something should be edited like that.
If it's there, leave it there. Don't edit it to conform to standards or anything.
Aside from the Ocean dub, I haven't actually seen any edited Funi Material. What's it like? And is it true that the Faulconer score skips around a lot?
Also, is it true that there are no edited Funi Versions of Episodes 1-67?
A cock's a cock.
Faulconer Productions stopped scoring edited versions of the episodes after episode #65a, "Gohan Attacks." There's a lot cut in that episode, which explains the lowercase letter at the end of the number as there are technically two episode 65's. I'll upload some clips later tonight to show what exactly was cut if you're interested. But yeah, after that, episode #66 onward have their compositions skip around. This is because Faulconer Productions scored the uncut footage, and FUNimation cut/edited the episode down after the soundtrack was already put in place.

And they are with violence? Now what kind of example is that settling for their kids?
The violence in DB and DBZ is nothing that graphic. I found the heart ripping scene from the second Indiana Jones movie to be more graphic then anything from DBZ.

It sounds crazy, but we've come to a point where some 13 years later, people just want to watch what they remember seeing on TV. Personally, I think it would be nice to have if only for archival purposes. You'd never, ever have heard me say this in 2001, but as it is right now, you can't find DBZ as it aired on television in the late 90s and early 2000s. To me it's less the censored footage (As neat as it would be to spot-check these days) and more the sake of the original dub. I feel like DBZ's English dub is almost misrepresented by FUNimation these days. Say, you go to a Youtube clip of the season 3 dub from 1999 and you skim the comments. A lot of the time I see confused comments asking why the voices are the way they are, some even go as far to ask why the Ocean dub is playing when it says FUNimation dub in the description. Heck, just look at how many people are unaware that the Ocean dub
is the FUNimation dub and until 2005, was how the series aired in the US. It's as if people forget or simply never saw how the show was originally presented to us. I think it'd be nice to have some kind of release just to show DBZ as it initially aired on television, Dale Kelly and those horrible next episode previews and all. I'm very glad the Rock the Dragon exists for this very reason. For years I though the TV version of Tree of Might would be unreleased. Call it nostalgia, but I don't want the series' original airing to be a faded memory.

Pretty soon I'll be releasing all of the edited versions of the episodes. Currently working on scanning each and every cover. I still have four tapes from the Cell Games Saga coming in, and unfortunately they're uncut because FUNimation never got around to releasing the edited versions of them. I'll do my best to restore the edits by looking off of the Westwood dub recordings as a reference. Call it the "Dragon Ball Z: Krillin's in 'da House Edition" or something retarded.

You only see DBZ uncut on home video since the days when DVD's took over because the show's target audience likes the show uncut. I'm a person who hates watching things edited and I like to watch things on how they were made. Funi feels like that there's not enough people who will buy the show edited on DVD or Blu-Ray. There are kids who watch Kai on Nick Toons and CW, but it's not enough where Funi feels like that they need to make two sets of the show. The market now is much different then it was 15-10 years ago.

Recording television broadcasts is much more convenient nowadays with the abundance of DVR's and PVR's. The worry of quality loss via natural aging and damage on tapes has been neutralized thanks to digital recordings and cheap hard-drive memory costs. Missing out on recording the edited versions of Dragon Ball Z Kai, if you have cable television, is completely on you. I don't have cable, which is a shame because if I did I'd be recording what may very well be the edited version of Dragon Ball GT's final re-broadcast. Once it's finished, I'll forced to track down the edited VHS's, which are in a lower quality than what's being broadcast currently, and lack most of the NEP's. Sadly there just isn't much of an incentive to pay for cable today.
Before continuing, I'd like to re-state a question I made in an earlier post:
Does anybody know what episode this Cell in the background is from?:

I was planning on finishing this side-art for completion's sake, but I can't find the source for that particular piece. I know the Gohan Vs. Cell artwork in the foreground is from "Faith in a Boy" so I don't need any clarification on where that's from.
