He was certainly prolific and his death is being felt by a lot of fans from many fandoms right now - I heard of his death in relation to Kingdom Hearts where he's the voice of the main villain Xehanort. His work as Taopaipai was certainly very distinctive and something I can't imagine the character without so it's certainly a shame that he's been lost. Rest in peace.

Well this hits a little hard tonight...He played a lot of roles I really loved...He was Joseph Joestar in the JoJo OAV...I loved his performance there.

I only got around to watching Dragon Ball (the anime) last year. Tao Pai Pai was one of my favorite characters in the manga, and I felt that Ōtsuka did a great job playing the part. I'm largely unfamiliar with his body of work, but it's never fun to hear that someone who was a part of something special to you has died. At least he lived to a good age.

Considering Origa just passed away yesterday, this makes news in the anime community even worse.
