Heres my parallel for the Sonic Series

WARNING: features spoilers for Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Shadow the Hedgehog:

Sonic Adventure:
The laughable villan Pilaf/Eggman releases the evil from the past Piccolo/Chaos. Piccolo/Chaos fight Son Goku/Sonic a few times before taking over West City/Station Square. Goku/Sonic goes ape on/turns Super and beats Piccolo/Chaos.

Sonic Adventure 2:
Dr. Gero/Gerald get revenge on the world through different inventions (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, Cell/Shadow and Biolizard). Eventually, one of the inventions becomes evil (or already is) and threatens the world (Cell/Biolizard) and of the inventions become good(16/Shadow) to stop the evil. One of the inventions becomes romantically paired with another (18 and Krillin/Shadow and...Rouge?). The invention that turns good (16/Shadow) is killed (of course... Shadow DOES come back later...) and the evil (Cell/Finalhazard) is killed by a super (Super Saiyan 2 Gohan/Super Sonic and Super Shadow). Later on, it is found out the scientist (Dr. Gero/Gerald) teams/teamed up with another evil being (Dr. Myuu/Black Doom).

In case you were wondering, these JUST popped in my head.
