I'm not really the type of person who remembers techniques very well, in any fighting-based franchise I like. Unless it's a really prolific move like Kamehameha, I'm probably only going to be able to describe how it looks like.

That said, my favorite technique is definitely the Kienzan. It's my homeboy Kuririn's signature move, it looks extremely cool, and the visual of it bisecting Freeza is classic. Accuracy be damned, this is my jam.

I also love Gotenks' Kamikaze Ghosts because they're so endearingly goofy, and Xenoverse had me gain an appreciation for Nappa's Giant Storm attack, if only because of the shiteating grin accompanying it - and, well, it's a really good Ultimate. Then there's the Kamehameha, which I can't help but like because it's so iconic. I especially like the concept of multiple Kamehamehas, especially the various Son Family Kamehameha combos. And then there's Goten's Kamekameha which is just adorable.

Janemba's brilliant counter here.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I'm afraid I don't know all the original names for this so I'll be using the dubs for all:

Destructo Disc: Standard for a Krillin fan. This is probably the move that first made me appreciate the character; flattening your ki to create a bladed edge was frankly genius. Double props for being the technique that first managed to genuinely harm Frieza. Triple props for it being the technique that put an end to the Namekian arc. That's what you get for intellectual property theft Frieza.

Spirit Bomb: Like the Destructo Disc, this move hardly ever works but when it hits, it hits hard. I honestly prefer the Spirit Ball like blast to the giant death ball-esque one as the real one looks a little unwieldy.

Spirit Ball: I wish we'd seen this one more. Yamcha's trademark move is one of the few ki moves we've seen used telekinetically and the fact it can be controlled underground for surprise attacks makes it a fun move to watch being used...that one time it actually is used in the manga.

Super Ghost Kamikaze: One of the most creative moves in the whole series. I'm not entirely sure, was this ever confirmed to be made of ki? Either way Gotenks somehow creates LIFE with this one, which is pretty damn impressive.

Sauza Blade: Essentially a Destructo Disc for melee fighting. Probably the greatest technique a henchman's ever had in the series, regardless of how canon he is.

Neo Tri Beam: Who didn't love watching Cell being pushed back by Tenshinhan? Still no idea how a triangle shape creates a square shaped hole, but Tien defies geometric rules.

Time Stop: Guldo's special ability was really unique and pretty creative. I honestly wish we'd had more creative mystical powers being used after seeing this.

I might use my fan names for some of these because sometimes the cannon names of these attacks are a bit silly (to me anyway).

Death Ball - 1% Full Power (please note that this is the percentage of power put into the attack and has nothing to do with Freeza's power at the time).

Death Ball - 50% Full Power

Death Ball - 100% Full Power

Supernova Death Ball

Golden Death Ball

Ok so enough of the Death Ball love.

Death Beam and all variants.

Dodonpa and all variants.
