Mr. Popo. Ever since I was a kid, I always wondered who/what is he? What's his story?

Him and his kind will probably play some huge role in the upcoming arcs.fadeddreams5 wrote:

However, as part of modern DB, his entire backstory will likely be gags galore and unrelated to anything significant. As it stands, he already has a female counterpart, which is disappointing, imo.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I've always wanted Mr. Satan to be exposed as a liar, but later doing something incredible that wins back people's trust in him, a legitimate way, and eventually becoming the new king. He fits that role better than... some dog people.

Kuririn's :p we just know that he trained at the Orion Temple and was bullied there, that's it.

The RRA itself with Commander Red and all them wasn't very dark on its own. Only the story of Dr. Gero is dark. He should just star in his own story and the RRA can be a side thing for comic relief. The story could be dark with Gero up to his own machinations, but every once in awhile he has to visit RRA HQ just to check-in and they're all idiots.fadeddreams5 wrote:3. Original Super Saiyan God, and the war between good and bad saiyans - Why not? This story has the potential to build an entire world, culture, and cast. The scale is big.
2. Dr. Gero and the RRA - This is a backstory that has the potential to be as dark as History of Trunks, and I welcome that.
1. King Cold and his clan - Cause he's the coldest mother****er in the universe. But seriously, disregard Chilled's existence. This guy is arguably one of the most significant figures in the series. He's the father of Freeza, the secret leader of this giant intergalactic organization, and he's lived long enough to know about Beerus and Buu. Yet... he only got a few episodes of screen time before being easily dispatched? I will never, ever understand the point of introducing this guy if they were just going to kill him off so quickly. They could have easily had Freeza arrive with a super strong henchman instead...

Is there really anything else we need to know? The story picks up on him at the age of 12 and we are told exactly where he was before that, we pretty much have his whole life in check lolKuririn Fan wrote:Krillin's :p we just know that he trained at the Orion Temple and was bullied there, that's it.

Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
It looked like he completely threw away his old life when he went to train with Kame Sen'nin, did he leave anyone behind? Family perhaps? Or was the bullying he was subjected too just so bad that he had to get away?nickzambuto wrote:Is there really anything else we need to know? Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
The possibility for a story does not mean a story is necessary. We are never given any indication that Krillin had family he left behind, he was just born as a monk at Orin Temple and constantly bullied by his fellow monks, so he left at a young age.Deathbringer wrote:It looked like he completely threw away his old life when he went to train with Kame Sen'nin, did he leave anyone behind? No love for King Vegeta?
I want to know about his raise to power. I'm under the impression that before the Tsufur-Saiyan war there could have been other individuals on par with his power but not as bright. I would assume he got rid of the competition during the war and by the end he simply took over.
In general everything Saiyan up to their meeting with Freeza would be gold for me.

Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
I have a bad feelings about it.
Every time we see King Vegeta he acts like bastard son of rabid dog and doormat- no plan, no thought, nothing to support King Kai's claim about his supposed intelligence. I honestly think that Toei is incapable of portraying him as capable, competent and charismatic leader he was supposed to be.

Was Vegeta's father really involved in the war? I assumed the war happened centuries ago and the title of King had just been passed down. I had no idea the Saiyans were that young.

Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
According to King Kai both races lived together until war broke out (the extract reasons depend on who is speaking
). King Vegeta was explicitly said to be the most intelligent Saiyan who brought his race to victory.

Ugh, I've always hated the way they (meaning Toei's writers) handled the concept of the Saiyan-Tuffle (dubism?) war. Just seems so unnecessarily recent.
Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
As far as the info we have goes, the war between the Saiyajin and the Tsufurunjin took place between AGE 720 to AGE 730. Vegeta named himself king and renamed the planet. (Prince)Vegeta was born on AGE 732, Kakarotto was born on AGE 737.nickzambuto wrote:Was Vegeta's father really involved in the war? If the war was a recent history and we are told that before it they lived as a caveman- how they managed to learn technology enough to not spoil everything? When did they contact Frieza? From all things I hope that will be retconed.

Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
The first reign of Daimao. I want to see a time when it was just Kame Sennin and Tsfuru Sennin under Master Mutaito, and how everything changed when the demon clan attacked.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Whose backstory do you want to know the most?
When I wrote "Red Ribbon Army," I was actually, more or less, referring to the Path to Power incarnation of the organization. I'd like this story to be dark like History of Trunks, and involve Gero's personal relationship with the organization, rather than its actual origin.nickzambuto wrote:The RRA itself with Commander Red and all them wasn't very dark on its own. Honestly, whenever I see these topics about hypothetical story ideas, I tend to base my answers on ideas of mine I'd like to be a reality. Not so much what I'd like coming from Toei or Toriyama, since that'll never match what I want. lol.
