How pathetic they are. Heck, I know someone who went to Japan. He said he saw a pocket p---y vending machine, and it had labels for the ages of what it was modeled after. What were those ages? 6, 9, and 12. Not to mention someone from that country married a video game character. The country may be where Dragon Ball Z and other amazing entertainment have come from, but the majority of those people are fucked up.JulieYBM wrote:Is this an problem? Japan has some major problems with its treatment of sex and women, but in this case, I'm not sure the exact item you're describing would 1) exist, or 2) exist anywhere outside of Akihabara sex shops, which is the equivalent of pasting the seediest parts of Las Vegas sex culture onto the whole of America.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:How pathetic they are. Who are "those people", pray tell? Surely you don't mean the people who purchase these items or else you wouldn't be referring merely to the "majority" but to all such people indiscriminately. I can only infer, then, that you mean the bulk of the Japanese population as a whole, in which case -- well, geez, besides just being a gross, ill-founded generalization -- I just never thought I would witness such blatant othering on this board of all places. Try to be a little more sensitive with your wording.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:How pathetic they are. Heck, I know someone who went to Japan. Oh, come on! I also don't understand these freaky fetishes as well as I doesn't understand mindless otakus and people who adore everything Japanese, but mind you, I know lots of people from there (mostly musicians and I have recorded EP with two of them) plus my wife is Japanologist. They have different culture background and manners, but they are the same people like you and me. We discuss the same stuff, going trough the same problems in life.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:She looks like one of the dolls from those living doll movies, except an adult rather than a toddler. People who hurt others and cause violence, destruction and death, those people are screwed up. Do the japanese who you are criticizing do that? No, they don't. You are just criticizing what seems weird to you, even though there's nothing actually wrong with it, just a different preference regarding social/sexual interaction and entertainment. America, with all its gun violence, crime and whatnot ends up being clearly more screwed up.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:

Might I question why gun violence is worse than any other form of violence? Why single that out specifically?rereboy wrote:People who hurt others and cause violence, destruction and death, those people are screwed up. Do the japanese who you are criticizing do that? I talked about it simply as an example, but, obviously, gun violence is the most lethal kind of violence there is due to the extremely high chances of people dying when it does occur, so it's worthy of being singled out.Pokewhiz7 wrote:Might I question why gun violence is worse than any other form of violence? The majority of the nation of Japan is 'fucked up'? Why? Why are any of these things pathetic? You're just claiming they are without backing up your argument with any sort of authority.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:

There are plenty of other forms of violence which are equally as lethal. I was simply getting the impression that you singled out gun violence over other forms, such as knife violence, which is a huge issue in e.g. the UK, because you hated guns or something and wanted to throw that in there.rereboy wrote:I talked about it simply as an example, but, obviously, gun violence is the most lethal kind of violence there is due to the extremely high chances of people dying when it does occur, so it's worthy of being singled out.
No, there aren't. No weapon is more effective at killing people than guns, except bombs and bigger guns. Knifes aren't nearly as effective at killing nor does its violence result in deaths as easily.Pokewhiz7 wrote:There are plenty of other forms of violence which are equally as lethal.
I'm just saying that guns are simply the deadliest weapons there are (except bombs), which is a fact, and makes it worthy of standing out. The UK might have a problem with knifes, which is a terrible and serious issue, but just how many more people would have died in the UK if every single case of knife violence had been a case of gun violence instead?I was simply getting the impression that you singled out gun violence over other forms, such as knife violence, which is a huge issue in e.g. the UK, because you hated guns or something and wanted to throw that in there.
Well that's a relief. I thought it was a commonplace thing throughout Japan. The guy who mentioned it never said where in Japan he was, just that he was in Japan. I hope you're right. And to the other guy who mentioned India... Japan treats sex and prepubescent girls in much creepier forms than India would. Despite marrying a tree or something I think I would prefer them over Japan's sex culture.Cipher wrote:Japan has some major problems with its treatment of sex and women, but in this case, I'm not sure the exact item you're describing would 1) exist, or 2) exist anywhere outside of Akihabara sex shops, which is the equivalent of pasting the seediest parts of Las Vegas sex culture onto the whole of America.SpiritBombTriumphant wrote:How pathetic they are.
