I'm trying to reason that maybe they heard "Fly, Fly, Fly" as "Try" but they don't really sound that much alike, so my conclusion is that they're moronic twits.

You self-censor the word "crap", but you're willing to write down "twat"?

You go, you crazy weird girl you!

Besides, they made such an effort with the rest of the lyrics. Sure, they're not completely accurate, but at least they're in the right ballpark. And they're as non-sensical and cheesy as the original. If only they'd turned down the weird 80s voice effects on the opening tune, then everything would have been alright.

Where in the world did I self-censor the word "crap"?!

EDIT: Okay, after going and looking up the word "twat" and finding out that it doesn't mean what I always thought it meant, I now understand why Liam thinks I'm a "crazy, weird girl". :? I changed my post up above to something more *ahem* "suitable". And now that I have revealed myself to be the most naive and stupidest person on the internet, I'll sign off and go and track down that guy that years ago told me the word meant "idiot". But I still want to know PsyLiam, where and when exactly I self-censored "crap".

Something tells me he's just as able to track the post down as you are...

It sounds like a poor Norwegian-ization of the Chinese "Jin dou yun" (roughly, "cloud somersault"), pronounced "Kinto-Un" in Japanese. As for why they couldn't just go with the Japanese... I have no clue. :?

Interesting. They got that from the german version, though.

I'm...not sure. I'm sure you self-censored "bitch" though.

And as for what "twat" really means, you've fell into the same trap as anyone over the age of 40. They think it's a simple modification of the word "twit", whereas it's actually a bit stronger.

It's hardly ever used for it's "proper" meaning though, like most swear words.

Yes I did self-censor that word. Yes, I can be rather naive about things sometimes. I don't tend to swear a lot and when I do, well it's usually only things like "hell", "damn", "crap" and such, yes I'm a real daring gal! :P Actually, the reason I don't too much is because it just makes it less shocking if you say f%*$ this and f%*$ that all the time. If you never say it and then say it all of the sudden, then people know you're serious. Anyway, thanks Liam for the head's up about the real meaning and all before I really would have embarassed myself. Imagine if I would have said in front of some little kids! I know they wouldn't get it likely, but I don't think their parents would be too happy with me.

Their parents almost certainly wouldn't have known. Especially in Canada.

And surely "crap" is at least as bad as "bitch"?

I don't mind about swearing. I absolutley hate self-censored swear words though. If you want to swear, then swear. If you don't, then don't, but exactly what point is there in typing out "sh*t" instead of "shit"?. Everyone knows what you mean. It's not like small people will read it and assume you mean "shot". If someone finds the word "fuck" offensive, will they find the phrase "and it was f*cking awful" perfectly acceptable? The whole practise seems a bit...childish. It's notable that the tabloid papers over here always censor swear words -even though they are more likely to use low-brow words and make puns around the word "tits" - whereas the broadsheets use swear words far less, but leave them uncensored when they don't.

I have a 9 year old nephew. He doesn't swear. He knows what swear words are though. And he'd know exactly what "sh*t" would mean, too, if he saw it written down..

(I also hate the words "Gosh" and "Heck". It sums up America brilliantly that they've actually invented pseudo-swear words, so that they can curse without actually cursing. Plus it lets us hear the anger Trunks feels for the mass-murding androids expressed in extremely powerful language. "Darn those two!". Good grief.)

I do totally agree with you Liam, and if you notice, the only time I've used a self-censored swear word is when I was quoting someone else, hence I need to say it for the sake of quoting, but I don't care to say it, if you know what I mean. And yes I also agree the word "crap" is as bad as "bitch" but I don't tend to say the latter because quite frankly I have this weird hang-up about it that it's such a stereotypically "catty" word. I'm not at all a "catty" female and I loathe "catty" females(they made my high school days miserable), so that's why I don't use it. It's hypocritical I know, since I will sometimes use bastard, which is pretty much the male equivalent, but as I said, it's my weird hang-up. :) Anyway, yes I think that it's pointless to type out a swear word and leave one letter out, since you're still basically swearing.

Sorry for getting waaay off topic everyone. I just wanted to explain myself further so it didn't look like I was some "judgemental prude" against anyone here. :)

Excellent. Now that Amy has made her position clear, we can all get back to the topic at hand!

So, er, what's the anime like in Norway?

Haven't seen it. It's a DVD-only release, and only movie 2 and 3, both of which I already had the Pioneer version of when they announced them.
Sangofe said they were horrible, though.
