What's the point of rebooting Dragon Ball? We've already been given so many different reimaginings of several arcs of the story of Dragon Ball through the movies.

I think the better question here is why not? It gives us an alternate version of the story we already know, it gives writers freedom, allows them to be creative with character roles, character personalities and abilities.

I think the better question here is why not? It gives us an alternate version of the story we already know, it gives writers freedom, allows them to be creative with character roles, character personalities and abilities.
Toei would find a way to fuck it up though. They had the concept of the Legendary Super Saiyan, Freeza having a brother and motherfuckin Janemba all to themselves and they royally half-assed all of those awesome ideas. If Dragon Ball is gonna get a reboot, I don't want Toei to handle it.
