Garlic Jr is not a vampire, he is a demon. Dr. Gero is not what I have mind. I was thinking a Dragon Ball version of Tony Stark, but evil. Where he/she can build powerful battle armor. The Guyver is a symbiotic bio organic mechanisms that bond with a host. I always thought a bio oragnic being similar to The Guyver in DB would be cool.

Okay, I know the whole Saiyan villain trope has been overused, but as far as the manga goes, we've only had Radtiz, Nappa, and Vegeta has antagonists. As soon as the alternate universe concept was introduced, I came up with an idea about an alternate Goku (PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!). Seriously though, hear me out. This Goku wouldn't necessarily be evil, but he would be the Prince of all Saiyans (or King) and would be burdened with the responsibilities it brings. Maybe he did something that went too far and decided to step down as Saiyan Prince/King and left Planet Salad by exiling himself. However, as time went on, maybe he became damaged by what he did and became concerned that he should rid his world of evil beings (like the Original Super Saiyan God), if any exist in U6. I guess then it becomes the cliche of WHAT I'M DOING IS RIGHT IN MY OWN MIND, but it would still be a different route than that typical EVIL GOKU. Alternate Goku would be a good guy with issues in my mind.

However, I don't think U6 works in a way where the U7 characters have STRAIGHT-UP counterparts, but Beerus has Champa so why can't Goku have a UNIVERSAL BROTHER? Maybe this brother is just how I described above, but only his name isn't Kakarot, but it's another vegetable pun. SPINAC maybe (as a pun on Spinach)?!!!!! I can see that as a traditional Saiyan name. I'm speculating too far for something that's not going to happen, but with the Cabba/Planet Salad stuff, it is more possible now.

@SSJ3 Vegeta
Actually that first list were ideas that we've seen enough times already and hoping we wouldn't see again.

-Evil Saiyans attacking the Earth (Saiyan saga, Tullece).
-Mutated SSJ Saiyan (Broly).
-Evil Namek (King Piccolo, Lord Slug, Dark Nameks from DB Online).
-Gero's computer building more androids/cyborgs (13-15, Cell, Cell-X, I think others from DB Online)
-Artificial constructs absorbing others to get stronger (Super 13, Cell, Super 17, a few times in DB Heroes)
-Being made from the DNA of past fighters (Cell, Miira)
-Villains escaping from Hell or come back for revenge (Fusion Reborn, Super 17 saga for villains escaping from hell. Several times in movies, filler, and DB Heroes for former villains coming back for revenge).
-Sealed magical demon/monster (Buu, Hirudegarn, and I think Demigra).
-Last member of a race nearly wiped out by the Saiyans having revenge against the last few living on Earth (Raichi/Hatchiyack, Baby/Myuu).
-Heroes getting possessed (Dr. Wheelo mind control thing, Babidi, Baby, Towa's mind control, Demigra's Dark Magic  )

I wouldn't mind seeing some of these ideas used again if there could be an interesting twist and development. If it's just a copy-paste of the original idea then I rather have them look for something new.

Wouldn't he be too powerful? If an initial SSJ God Goku could potential wipe out the universe then imagine what a LSSJGSSJ5 Broly could do!

I want a real fcking evil bastard! to the point that Goku/Beerus/Whis would have nightmares just thinking about that being, someone that doesnt play around and means business.
Like that certain being paralyzing Goku infront of all his loved ones torturing them all infront of him and destroying all possibilities of reviving them. Knowing Akira Toriyama tho this is next to impossible, he doesnt like DB to get dark.

Dragon Ball villains suffer from having all the same general personality quirks -- an inflated sense of egomania where they have to be the strongest in the universe, callous disregard for anyone except themselves, a lack of psychological discipline that makes them easily prone to fits of irrational unscrupulous outrage when faced with mishap, an underestimation of those who would stand in their way which eventually comes back to hurt them, and also poorly defined simple dimensional motives involving the destruction of everything or conquering the universe.

I want to see a villain who doesn't share these traits. For starters, perhaps we could see someone who has a more thoroughly constructed style and plan for what it is he's hoping to achieve. Let the individualism of their personality shine through. It would be refreshing to see a less pretentious antagonist who recognises the faults of his own self and has the maturity to admit when he's made a mistake rather than scream and swing his body wildly in a desperately futile attempt to pull off an unlikely miracle when they've been pushed into a corner. Rather than punch their way through by brute force, let them survive by outsmarting or outreasoning their opponents. An antagonist who is able to challenge the heroes on a psychological level can help reinforce the legitimacy of their motivational stance more than simply beating them into submission.

Also, how about an antagonist who isn't the strongest and doesn't want to be the strongest? I would find it to be a much greater sign of competence and ability for someone to beat Goku and Vegeta through their wits and skill instead of overpowering them like everyone who's come before in this show.

I would like to see the hero of whatever Universe that gets extremely mad after the loss of an important person for him, who died of natural case so can't be revived with Dragon Balls, and so he goes around the universes in a quest to alter universes rules and have that person be revived even if died of natural cases.
He wouldn't be a full fledged villain but he would get extremely mad at whoever tries to stop him from his quest and I would love to see him being very cruel.

I don't know if this would work, but, as stated by others, villains whose only goal is to be the best in the universe and destroy everything are getting quite boring.

Almost 90% of the villains you guys are suggesting would never appear within an shonen. hell some wouldn't even appear within an Seinen.

Some of guys think DB is Berserk, Vagabond or Monster.

JJBA Part 4: Diamond is unbreakable's main antagonist and the Chimera ant arc antagonist from HxH would like a word with you.

Seinen antagonists?
They are many... From LOGH, 20TH CB, Vinland Saga, Lone Wolf and Cub, Sanctuary, Pluto, Steel Ball Run, etc...

I mainly meant shonen, not Seinen. And JJBA is basically both a Shonen and an Seinen at the same time.

That would be an interesting villain. We've had a few villains who relied on magic or technology but they mainly only used it to overpower the Z fighters. I'm also wondering what would be the motive for these new villains and where did they originate from? There were some good suggestions but what are they trying to achieve by defeating the Z fighters besides testing out their strength, gathering the Dragonballs, or taking over the universe?

Super seems to be more light-hearted than earlier parts of the series. I think the key is to throw in a few gags here and there then they can get away with a lot more. Buu committed mass genocide but it doesn't look as bad as when Freeza or the Saiyans did it because he didn't act as serious as them. I think many of these darker ideas could work as long as the villain does something funny between their acts of evil or something.

I think that would be cool for a new character but maybe not a villain. For example, they could visit a desert or steampunk planet. As a villain what would his goal be and how strong would he be?

Would he be using only parts of the Super Dragonballs or the entire ball? I'm picturing someone the size of TTGL able to hold the planet-sized Dragonballs in his hands.[/quote]
Right, the planet sized balls would be nuts unless the villain was Galactis or something. I might want a villain that wants to use the dragonballs in some way outside of wishing for invincibility. Like maybe wishing for something in reality to change in his favour which could bring armageddon of the universe then the balance has to break for him to have some actual meaning. I just hope Champa moving Earth into his universe would have some reality warping side effects, it seems like the only way to really make sense of this plot.

But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

I always had an idea for a villain on my own fanfics and I tend to get pretty word when it comes to things I like to write. But I will try and keep it just a little basic here for an idea of a major villain. Now, we've done the Freeza trope of ruling the universe and others that were just about revenge, and Cell who just wanted to prove he was the strongest. Beerus and Champa aren't really villains. They destroy because it is their want, they are akin to acts of nature.

We haven't really explored all of Universe 7, but for a major villain to come around, that would be perceived as a threat by all parties, including the likes of Beerus, it would have to be someone or something outside the scope of our current knowledge. Such as, a God of Chaos from Universe 13. "But wait, there is no Universe 13". Well, according to Whis, there are 12 universes, each has its own flip side or mirror image and the two numbers equal 13. Such as U6 and U7, U5 and U8, etc etc. Would that not also entail a Universe 0 and a Universe 13. The Origin Universe and the End Universe.

What if, say, the further apart the two universes are, the more radical the differences? Six and Seven are so close, hence so many things are alike. However, Five and Eight are further apart and their mirrored sides may be far more different than between Six and Seven. Then bring that along to Zero and Thirteen. Zero, the sum of all and nothing, and Thirteen which is seen as unlucky. And if you pushed the 1 and 3 together it looks more like an infinity symbol. ∞ Universe 0 can be seen as the Origin, a universe of boundless creation, and Universe 13 as a desolate universe, the End of all Things, where there is nothing by destruction and annihilation abound. A universe of chaos.

Now, what if in this U13, that there was no death? Well, that'd be silly because everything is constantly being destroyed. But, what if that also includes Heaven and Hell? Well, there's no place for the dead to go then, is there? And the dead cannot die again. So it is a universe filled with those constantly fighting, never able to live, never able to die. A world of absolute madness and destruction. And now consider, what is the God of Destruction and Chaos of this universe supposed to do? Destruction is ever-constant. And isn't that just a bore? What fun is there left to be had? Everything is already at the absolute end of madness and destruction and annihilation. There's nothing new to be destroyed.

But, ahhh, there are those 'other' universes, now aren't there? Those still kicking with true life, those with peaceful lives and hopes, dreams and innocence. What joy to be found in invading and corroding those other universes with despair and annihilation. But no too quickly! No. For such a meal, one must savor every bite. To begin slowly, bit by bit, piece by piece, and let the terror sink deep into the hearts and minds of those who clung so foolishly to hope.

How about a villain, this God of Chaos, leading an army from this Universe 13, in a war of annihilation across all other universes. And perhaps the reason why we may not see some of these other universes mentioned by Whis is because this God has been moving down the list, wiping them all out over the course of eons, enjoying scream of horror, every cry of terror and the breaking of every living things will. I mean to take King Piccolo to the umpteenth power. Yeah, remember him? He planned on wiping out the Earth over the course of 72yrs. Not all at once. He wanted the whole world to suffer for as long as he wanted them to, suffering under anarchy, in a world without laws except those he chooses.

Picture a God like that. Who will draw out the suffering and death of whole universes for the sake of its own joy and amusement. Not caring for ruling the universes or worship. Just the simple pleasure of having others suffer, of fighting and destruction, to bringing an end to all things. All to liven up an eternity of boredom. Kid Buu destroyed things straight up because it was born of evil. But this God could be seen as Evil Itself, its very concept and idea being given physical form and consciousness. Something that is not only powerful, but madly intelligent. True Evil, not something superficial. An entity that can Reason, can Think, and can turn dark even the purest of hearts.

I'm hoping the DBS Dragon, Zarama, is the first +plant-sized character we see. Compare Porunga and Shenron relative to the size of their Dragonballs. If Zarama has balls the size of planets then imagine how big he is! I'm worried he would end up being a gag character and look like Haze Shenron though.

Zelvins's idea is pretty awesome for a fan fiction if you do write a fanfix let me know but I'm sure it's too dark for the real deal.....
