BoG takes place in the same year as HoT
Also they're not the main characters so toys wouldn't really sell anyway

It does not. Battle of Gods is in AGE 778, while the Trunks Special isn't officially until AGE 780 (which should be the same year as the Champa Arc in the anime).
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

Well we've seen Champs arc Gotten/Trunks and they don't look a day over 7/8

I only watch DBSuper because it's something Dragon Ball, but it's a dissapointment in many regards.

Nobody cares about kiddo characters on the playground.

Hence, we're stuck with cutesy Goten and Trunks even tho it makes no sense whatsoever
Isn't it what Heroes is? You fight as kid avatar, who is able to face all battles alongside Z-Warriors? :)

Assuming the tournament isn't taking place on December 31st, there's still time for Trunks to have a growth spurt.

Perfect Cell-tier Perfection
Too bad the staff at Toei animation is too incompetent, mostly because they're more concerned with making cash than respecting Dragon Ball.
