Which idea do I prefer? You mean in-game trans / no in-game trans? Depends on mood and character.

If I have the mood, I like starting as 1st Freeza and gradually transform him throughout the match. One day I had a friend come to my place. He knows more-or-less nothing about DBZ, but he likes video games. Fighting games in particular. I challenged him in a few versus matches. He picked Piccolo, I picked Freeza. As we were fighting, he said "How was that (a kick he gave as Piccolo) SHORTIE!?!?!" I transformed into 2nd stage. "WTF!?!?" he yelled. His face was priceless, even to this day.

But, if I don't have the mood, I find it a bit tiresome to go through five transformations just to get Freeza into 100% power. Not to mention the fact that an experienced CPU won't make it really easy to transform from the beginning.

And don't get me started on Majin Vegeta. Below 1/6 of health? Are we kidding!!? Ridiculous.

I think the best is this: Choose Freeza. Game asks:

**Transform now, or during fight?**
Now.
**What stage?**
100% power.
**Thank you. Freeza airlines wishes you a nice journey. Fasten your seatbelts!**

And the game is on!

It would be cool to power down when you want with the touch of a button.

True, but there wouldn't be much point now, would it? The fights are too short on the video game so that you spend 20 seconds powering up, only to power down at the last five.

I think that's what they are going to realise when add the in-battle transformations into the formula.
