Any news of Mr. Wakamoto to voice a character in Super?

Nah, last thing we need is another villain returning. Cell had his time, which was perfection (No pun intended), so we don't need any more of him.

Freeza didn't need to have his own film and yet another arc (it was horrible) on another show. Yet they gave him one. I'd rather see a movie (or new arc in Super) based off Cell than Freeza or Broli.

While the logic is consistent, I don't think we should keep the trend going just because it already happened officially. Personally, I want to see more of Toriyama's original character designs if he still has something left in the tank.

I haven't heard Wakamoto in anything in a long while. I would like to see Cell return if Wakamoto could take the work seriously again.

Among other things, he recently did the voice work for Zeiyung in Wander Crown. If you click that link and click his character (The fishhead guy), you can hear some samples. He's still really good when he wants to be.

That's the Wakamoto Norio I remember. I'd love it if he could return as Cell using that much gusto, especially if Shida Naotoshi and other good animators got to draw him.

Thanks to Jacob I have dreams about Naotoshi Shida. Also, I hate to break it to you guys but Cell isnt that iconic in Japan and is very much unlikely to return. I'm probably wrong, so feel free to correct me.

In fact for me this arc is terrible. The only way to introduce these characters is by other universes and other timeline. In the fourth timeline, Cell may have won the Cell games and still alive.
I have no idea how popular is the character in Japan. I know that his arc, in Japan, is greatly appreciated (though here, some users tend to demonize excessively). But, I'm just sure that is less popular than Freeza, who is by far the most iconic villain.
