Arale is probably stronger anyways. It will be great to see if Goku remembers her. Heck we might even get a reanimated flashback unless they just use the DB footage to save money.

Same. The majority of my initial exposure to Arale comes from Dragon Ball and it'll be nice to see her again. I never imagined we would see her hanging out with Goku again outside of a Toriyama drawing or something.

It's still possible that he'll appear when the actual arc starts. He is the future related character, after all, and has a lot of fans.

I think Arale as a gag character with toon force would not really fit in well in dragon ball verse since its all about the power level rather than being able to beat in one punch!

And then returned to gag/ light hearted story with Majin Boo arc.

But it still had a lot of serious moments to balance it out like Videl getting beaten up mercilessly, Piccolo ripping Babidi in half, Vegeta's sacrifice, Babidi making a guy's head explode, a gunman killing an old couple for the fun of it & Buu killing everyone on earth before eating The Z fighters and their families alive.

True, but it's not so much about the quantity as it is when it occurs. Far too often it undercuts the stakes, such as during the entire Gotenks vs. Buu fight.

That was the point of that fight, to be filled with gags. Toriyama wanted it like that and he enjoyed writing it, he's a gag manga artist at heart.

There's very little reason for Arale and co to return, but there is even less reason for Future Trunks to return. For all we know, he and everybody else in that timeline could have been killed by a Future counterpart of Majin Boo.

Theory 1: What if Future trunks managed to reach SSJ3 and eventually defeat majin buu in the fight?

Theory 2: What if supreme kai's, goku or gohan in heaven decided to go to beerus planet and ask for whis or beerus help in order to help trunks defeat majin buu on earth. (Remember Whis and Beerus never existed in the original majin buu arc, since Toriyama never had an idea of them, but now they could ultimately add something like that.)

Theory 3: What if Trunks just simply befriended Majin Buu? I mean that fat blub was pretty dumb anyway. Even Mr.Satan was able to befriend him, so i dont see why Trunks couldn't just make him turn on Babidi?

Even if evil buu was some how seperated from fat buu, I'm sure that trunks and fat buu, would have been able to easily defeat evil buu together before he is able to absorb anyone.

Yes, that would be a huge disappointment, but in the interview Toyotaro used the term "mirai", which alludes to a more distant and remote future. Humor is fine, but a return to excessive craziness of the early parts of history, would clash too.

Yes, but it was terrible because it made him very badly, but the return of an iconic and popular villain as Freeza, had an enormous potential, that they have not exploited. In short, depends that how this will be imposed.
I agree with those who say that there must be a reason well built, for his return (xenoverse's Time Patrol was not bad)

In my country Arale is more famous than DB, the series was aired in the golden '80 anime era and multiple times after, the manga serialized 2 times along the new anime and cell-comic series. She's quite famous even along nowadays parents .

Trunks said the androids in his timeline weren't as strong as the ones in the current one so what if Buu isn't as strong as well ? maybe a Ssj2 Trunks could kill him.

I doubt Buu was release release out of his shell in Trunks timeline. Daizrenshuu makes it sound like that it never happen and Babidi & Dabra probably need to find another planet to release Buu.

By that logic what? Beerus and Whis are limit setters for Goku, and the plot doesn't just evolve around them. Toriyama already said that in terms of power scale he would put Goku at 6, Beerus at 10 and Whis at 15. Its not like their completely limitless and can do whatever they want. Right now, their just too powerful for Goku.

I know Arale is meant to have gag feats but has she ever shown anything remotely close to what Beerus has shown to warrant this talk. From what I've read her showings don't put her close to the current main cast, but maybe she's done more than I've read before, and something that puts her beyond Beerus?

I have no problem with Arale. Honestly, more throwbacks to Dragon Ball before the Z-era is a good thing, and I think it should be welcomed. Toriyama was originally a gag mangaka. Now we just have to see if Lunch will come back.
