Final question that I considered relevant: He is asked "What does the future holds for Dragon Ball?" He goes: He's not quite sure about what the Future of Dragon Ball is going to be like, but it is clear that Dragon Ball is going to pass from Generations to Generations (Or generations to come) if the fans want it to happen. It is not known but there's a chance to restart Dragon Ball from scratch (From zero, from the start of Dragon Ball back when Goku was a child, according to him).

I didn't touch the Japanese part but rather the translator's Spanish to English.
A reboot? Somehow I find that idea frightening...

I honestly wouldn't mind a reboot. With some of tidbits Toriyama has provided in interviews in the years, I think a reboot could provide a much stronger and cohesive story. If it's handled properly.

Firstly, I'm going to err on the side of saying that I don't think that something so specific as a Dragonball reboot was ever alluded to. I think Yamamuro was merely stating his hope that the story would continue to be told for the benefit of future generations, and that his own affection for the franchise is such that he would willingly like to see it all done again.

But, as a hypothetical idea, I'm really against it. The story has been rehashed to death as it is, and with Kai so fresh in the memory, I don't think there's much real appetite for a full-scale reboot. Not to mention, with present industry conditions and constraints, I really don't think that Toei could do a full-scale reboot proper justice.

I also would be against the idea because I'd played DB games and watched the anime over and over. If the reboot had exactly the same plot just updated tidbits and updated animation I would be against it, but if it had different villains and was a spin-off-ish-retelling I'd be fine with it. If it was an exact reboot I wouldn't be against it going straight to dvd instead of airing on TV though.

The only reboot I'll be OK with is a sequel reboot.

GT didn't do as well as they thought it would so they're making Super which is also a sequel but it has nothing to do with GT so if they decide to do a 3rd sequel that has nothing to do with Super and GT then I'll be OK with it but the original manga NEEDS to be left alone.

They could if they went with a season release.

Year 1 : 1-25 = Pilaf arc and 21st Tenkaichi arc.

Year 2 : 26-50 = Red Ribbon Army arc.

Year 3 : 51-75 = 22nd Tenkaich arc and King Piccolo arc.

Year 3 : 76-100 = 23rd Tenkaichi arc and The Saiyan arc.

Year 4 : 101-125 = Namek arc.

Year 5 : 126-150 = The Android arc.

Year 6 : 151-175 = Buu arc.

I know 6 years (or 7 depending on how many episodes that need to be added here and there) is a lot for a remake but if done right it would be more than worth the wait.

He could also mean reboot, in case Ms. Nozawa won't be able to voice Goku and his family anymore :( Reboot would give better chance, to reintroduce new Goku.

Yeah but most modern reboots of classic things nowadays are terrible.

That would be the most disrespectful thing they could do to her and her legacy.

That would be like Shonen Jump starting a new weekly ongoing DB manga when Toriyama passes away.

If she decides to retire she'll probably let them know ahead of time so they'll be able to find a replacement who sounds like her and they'll probably rename whatever they're working on when she retires.
