To be fair, most fans would be fine with him being a happy, working family man. The main problem most have is that, after hundreds of episodes of building him up, he's now fallen into total irrelevance.

To be honest, I have no problem with him no longer being a fighter. What irritates me is when the series makes it a point of drama in a fight that Gohan has slacked off and was gotten weaker, therefor he can't beat the bad guy, or something of the like. Unless that is part of his actual development and you want him to become an active player again, don't bring it up.

Fans are unhappy about a poorly written, nerfed Gohan who has no reason to be included in the story other than to be a punching bag and/or butt of jokes. Gohan "finding a happy place in a life" is all well and good but it's not conducive to good or interesting storytelling.

To stay on topic, I don't think Gohan has a true archnemesis but the antithesis of Gohan is either Cell, Super Boo or Kid Boo so I would say either one fits.

To be clear, I partially meant that comment to be very 'tongue in cheek'. If everyone is already going to be cracking wise about 'Toriyama and Toei because they're doing nothing with him, grrr', then I saw nothing wrong with a similar venting with what I see to be the biggest problem from my own POV. Beyond that, I really have no desire to get into the Great Gohan Debate of 2016 yet again.
