Depends. If it's Toriyama's version/a new version of the character and the only similarities are the name and perhaps the design (in his base/SSJ forms), then sure. If it's the same character as the one in the movies, no.

I don't think it could call as "return" if happens, because Super follows Kai and the manga, and Broly doesn't exist in that line.

I admit there's a bit of a twisted side to me on this that wouldn't mind a version of Broli, that's the complete opposite of what his fans love about him, being included on Planet Sadala. If for nothing else but to see how the fandom reacts to him. Would the people that hated him like this version? Would the people who adored him shun this interpretation?

I'm gonna go with shun if their reaction to Minus Bardock is anything to by. Then again, a lot of people like Bardock for a wide variety of reasons that also actively work against the very point of the character so who knows.

Hell no. Toei had their chance to do something unique with the concept of Broly and they blew it in like 10 minutes into his debut. Unless they plan on scrapping the character as a whole and starting from scratch with him, keep Broly far away from Super.

I don't subscribe to either the Broly fanboy love or the hate he's garnered in recent years do to the aforementioned fanboy love, and I enjoy movie 8 very much, but Broly being in Super would be a mess, since it would screw with the series "canon" (which is a word I do hate to use), because then they'd have to retcon the series to fit the movies into the series timeline (which is especially bad with 11), and the character wasn't really used well since his first film anyway.

While I have very little doubt this won't happen I wouldn't be against it if the writers retconned Broly in a way that would make him a decent believable character with justified motives.

Anyway, Broly has been done to death, though it might be cool to see him in some "side story" if they just went down the movie road like they did with Z.

His canonicity is so dubious I doubt he could fit into Super in any way.
The only thing I think could be done would be a reinterpretation of him in Universe 6 (maybe still evil among the pacific U6 Saiyans), but with Goku and Vegeta not knowing him in their own universe.

That way, it would be a nice reference to the fans, at the same time clearly showing that the Broly films aren't canon.

He's actually better than most in DBZ movie history.

But he won't be in Super, because it's Toriyama's jam and we won't be at that level of fan-pandering until he's jumped ship. To say nothing of the fact that he just doesn't exist in the same universe Super has set itself in.

I feel that Super is as much Toei's property as it is Toriyama's, so if they really wanted it, they can shove him into the story. I don't think that it's fair to say that this is only Toriyama's baby -- especially since we know that Super is a hodgepodge of talents coming together. While Toriyama seems to be the main leader of the band, there's always someone above him who can easily override his wishes.

However, I don't see Broly happening in Super.
