I get where you're getting at but truth is many people have different expectations but more importantly the big picture is whether we like it or not the thing can hold water or not, it just sucks that there is no purpose in the level ups anymore, that threats are rendered close to inexistent because we know at any moment literally anything can happen as in a huge screw logic fashion lol

Trunks has turned into a giant asspull of a character now. I see no potential in him anymore. The Genki Dama sword was the cherry on top of his new transformation. I'm happy he got the kill, that he was the one who saved his future, but it was so sudden and rushed that I feel a little annoyed. I don't want to see him again.

Future Trunks' entire existence was based of a major asspull. If any, it's just coming full circle. :P

This is true. I was never really a big fan of him nor did I want him to return. I just wish that his kill was handled better.

Zamasu may as well admit Trunks is the one true God. So far Trunks has learned the Mafuba via a youtube video within 30 seconds and somehow made a weird Genki-Dama sword and sliced a fused character in half...plus way way more. Just his feats last episode were enough to be over the top. I like Trunks but I'm done with him for a while. I'd rather they focus on little Trunks trying to become strong like his future self...not as the main theme obviously but just to give him character.

No thanks. I've had enough of Future Trunks and his mystical powerups to last me two of Kami's lifetimes.

Now because one of extra ass pull on top of all the others which people didn't really have too much of a problem before it's turned the arc to complete shit! Trunks sucks! He's a Gary Stu! Ass pull! Retcon! I never even liked Zamasu anyway, this arc was overated!
Lol most people aren't that bipolar. Trunks doesn't suck. His story was already finished back in Dragonball Z. Now he's so strong that he doesn't need to go back in time to ask Goku and Vegeta for help if any villain is stupid enough to threaten his world again.

I still think this Arc was great despite the ending. But the retcons, plotholes and out of nowhere powerups have somewhat damaged the legacy of this Arc.

Yes, I want another story arc focussing entirely on Mai and Trunks. While I'm happy with the MaixTrunks moments in the Gokuu Black arc I want more.

Trunks is a popular character so there's a good chance Toei might bring him back in order to increase merchandise sales. A Time Patrol story arc would also be fun.

Trunks gets enough as it is. He has xenoverse, dbo, and an entire arc of super. I definitely don't want a trunks series. The only characters I would want to have their own arc, not series, are Gohan, Piccolo, Hit, or Vegeta. Gohan and Vegeta probably could carry a short series if they had to.

Trunks character was never one of a prodigy, yet he proves to be one..
If his old character returns I might just say yes..
But right now no.. definitely not

I would not mind some sort of spin-off with his own time. Sure. Trunks was always a character I liked. Now even more.

You just can't please anyone nowadays.
Trunks' transformation was cool.
Trunks' Genki Dama Sword was cool.
Trunks getting the kill was cool.

If you wanna talk about the pacing and how we only got a 2-ep final battle I'll understand your disappointments there but as far as the method they used to physically end Zamasu I was all about it.

Yes.

I would welcome any Dragon Ball spinoff with open arms, and there's a lot of potential for a darker series with Trunks' future.

No! No more Future Trunks, never liked him and never will, the boy got too much love from the staff, this arc would have been 100000x better without him, making Future Trunks is a mistake. Leave and please never come back in Super.

Yes, my dream is that Super actually morphs into Time Patrol Trunks - Xenoverse like.

Basically Zen'o resets the universe to before Beerus after they lose the 12 Universe tournament.
However Trunks and Co. do well enough that he allows Future Trunks and Mai and Yajarobi the opportunity to be time patrollers.

Basically Trunks travels through different scenarios within the Dragonball universe and fixes them with the help of whoever the scenario is about.
It would be great because it would mean the original canon is intact, movie villians come into play, and no lasting effects are actually created.

Trunks' timeline is devoid of all the continuity concerns that Super has so I would be okay with this.
As usual the most negative people are just being loud. The climax might have logical flaws but it was still awesome and I think most people liked it okay.

Trunks got so much ass pulls this arc that I wouldn't mind if I never saw him again. It's crazy because he's my second favorite character.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

It's just frustrating because people don't seem to know what they want. From what I saw on here and YouTube a lot of people didnt want Zamasu to be beaten with the mafuba nor did people want him to be beaten by Zeno because that'd be anticlimactic.

Well he wasn't beaten that way...but it still wasn't good enough.

People did not want Goku to save the day and beat the main villain again. A lot of people wanted Trunks to do that (until very recently and I suppose a lot probably wanted Vegito to aswell).

Well Goku didn't beat the main villain yet again. People had wanted another character to get the spotlight and do that for a change and Trunks did....but that's not good either.

In the last couple months people have been fixated on Vegito being in the series even though it was never guaranteed he would be and not long ago people here thought he might not be in it.

Well Vegito did appear like people really wanted....but he wasn't in it as much as people wanted so that also wasn't good enough.

A lot of people don't like knowing what's going to happen in advance they like a surprise.

Well nobody knew or predicted that Trunks was going to absorb the power of a Spirit Bomb and turn it into a Spirit Blade where he'd then split Zamasu in the middle...but that's not good enough either.
Just because they implement an idea doesn't mean it's going to work, unless they take their time with it and execute it in a respectable way.

Me, personally, I wanted Vegito back and I wanted Trunks to get the kill. So I got what I wanted, right? Yes and no. Technically, it's what I asked for. But it was not executed anywhere near the way I wanted it. Obviously, nothing is ever going to be executed 100% the way anyone wants it, and I'm not spoiled enough to think it will, but it doesn't need to be for a fan like me to feel fulfilled and satisfied. Vegito came and went like the wind, and the reasoning behind it (retcon + contradiction of retcon in the same episode) was a slap in the face that blatantly showed they shoehorned him in for fanservice, rather than positively contributing something to the plot or being of any real significance, which is what the NEP from episode 65 had many assuming. Trunks killed Zamasu, sure, but it was such an illogical scene in every way, shape, and form, at least within the context of the series. I wanted something coherent that respectfully connected to what we've seen in the past, not some ham-fisted bullshit done for the sake of convenience.

Anyways, on-topic, yes, I would. Not an anime series, but a manga. I would like a small Time Patrol story. It'd be neat seeing Trunks travel through time periods to correct things. Each chapter could have its own little story. It'd be neat.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

If anything this arc showed that Trunks can't work as a main character in DB, as he doesn't fuck up and aims straight for the kill.
