FANBOY SQUEE! Well, it's good to know that someone's persistent enough to get something out of FUNimation. And in "fold out book thingy" format? Yes! So far, all of the DVD sets I've bought were unfortunately put in the not so flattering thin DVD casesTanooki Kuribo wrote:I actually waited and asked him a question. He looked like he wanted to get away from the swarm of people trying to get there questions in so I didn't want to keep him there with a question like, Why aren't you releasing the single disc anymore? We all know why. I wanted to ask somthing we didn't know, so I asked are you going to be re-releasing the whole series under a season type box set like the upcomming vegeta saga box set? He said yes. The whole series WILL be re-released and it won't be in those thin cases it will be a fold out book thingy. Also, I was wondering after the Funimation panel thing, how come we didn't ask Lance about the DBZ Season 1 stuff?
After I asked that, someone else here from the fourm actually asked are you going to get the DragonBox prints. He said they were trying. I don't know how truthfull that answer is but thats what he said. Who here asked him that question?
Augh, I wish I was there... (waiting for the podcast)...

Why thank you~! ^^ ... Sometimes, you just gotta make your own dorky, fangirlish dreams come true! (been wanting to cosplay in a surcoat for like 8 years... ><)Kirbopher wrote:The Chaotzu costume was awesome BTW :3kinoko wrote:What can I say? Thanks so much, Mike, Julian, and Meri. +le sigh+ XD I suppose people associate that green surcoat with Chaozu, ne? I was really going for cosplaying as a disciple of Tsurusennin (what better way to get closer to Ten, eh? ^^ After all, Tenshinhan wears it too in DB!) By the end of the day, I took anything... I even got an "Oh, I love Gohan!" from someone! ^^;; Tehe..
<3 Podcasting with you all was so fun!

Even though he said they were trying to get, I didn't really belive him. I really want that person that asked him to talk about it being he actually asked Lance, not me. He's on this fourm, I don't know why he didn't put his 2 cents in yet.Imagine Daimao's subs with that picture quality... *DROOL*

I would think that with three months to go before the release of Season One, they would already have it or not at all. The 39 episodes have to be authored, subtitled, formatted, the works, all before print and if they don't have the DragonBox prints as of mid-June, I wouldn't expect them to have it ever for this release. I'm sure what we'll get in September is the standard episodes that FUNimation has had for the past decade. But who knows. We won't know for sure until the official announcement.

After hearing that podcast and figured who it was that asked Lance, I realized he's not on the fourm. But, he is in the chat as GamerX. So you could still ask him.
Edit:
Hey, if anyone has pictures of the con they want to share, maybe you could post some of them here. I didn't get a chance to take many pictures myself being the batteries in my camera were dying
. I was just to lazy\busy to buy batteries. So I got like two pictures one with my camera and one with a camera phone.

And this is the room where the AMV's are shown...

So... where did you get that other picture of the one in your hotel room that you posted in the podcast section (not that more pictures aren't appreciated, or anything)?Tanooki Kuribo wrote:So I got like two pictures one with my camera and one with a camera phone.

Well I wasnt going to post a picture of my hotel room here, its not on topic and dosen't illustrate my point I was making in the other topic. I took like two pictures at the con. I have maybe 2 or 3 from the hotel cause I thought it was pretty cool, then I have another pic of a billboard on the way there that said nothing but "I Pooted". I thought it was funny.
But as for the con itself I had like 2 pictures.
pictures~
My cousin and I finally got it together and took some pictures of us cosplaying DB characters. ^^

Amanda, cousin, Android 18. Stylin' it up.

Me, um...trying hard to imitate Ten as in the Makafushigi Daibouken 2nd opening.

Say Dodon Pa!

Nice shot of Amanda's costume work. ^^

The Tenshinhan is very good, but every time I glance at it I think "Chaozu!" because of the hat. I know Ten does wear it once, but he doesn't even speak when he's wearing it, so that's why I got mixed up.
Oh, yeah, he wore it in the Inoshikacho episode too; but that's filler.

I think it's the very last episode in the "Fortuneteller Baba" Saga Set. There's also a very short (but very well-choreographed) fight between Goku and Tenshinhan. Good episode.kinoko wrote:OH MY GOD, I need to see that episode. +is a very bad Ten/Chao fan+ ;-;The Tori-bot wrote:The Tenshinhan is very good, but every time I glance at it I think "Chaozu!" because of the hat. Where'd you get the hat?

I bought a beanie/ski cap/thing at a mountain climbing store (did that make any sense?? XD) like the day before the con... And then at a craft store, I bought a red poof ball for the top, and safety-pinned it on. ^^The Tori-bot wrote: Where'd you get the hat?
...Wow, I answered that terribly... ><
