I never got the impression that Zeno was really a particularly disliked character, although I personally can't say that I'm too crazy about the fact that there's an entire hierarchy of beings in the multiverse who are more powerful than Goku could ever hope to be. It was fine in BoG, but now it kind of feels needlessly complex, and doesn't really feel like Dragon Ball to me.

I'm the odd one; I actually don't mind his design at all, but that's about the only thing about him I like.

I've always struggled getting to grips with the gods morality outside the mostly benevolent Kaio. Hell, I struggle with Goku's more alien morality moments half the time, never mind Zen-Oh's.

Zen-Oh is the logical extreme conclusion. Threatening the lives of billions upon billions depending on how he's feeling that day and if something mildly annoys him. Honestly I find this sort of orange and blue morality some characters showcase far too alien for me to be a fan of.

Exception is Beerus(and Champa) due to being a cat. Cats are always fickle.

This element was off-putting to me as well. We haven't seen him destroy anything that wasn't beyond saving though; I'll assume until given evidence otherwise that something similarly catastrophic had happened in the universes he previously erased.

I'm coming to like the idea that the ultimate key to existence, which must be protected as a kind of final reset, is ultimately a lonely, imaginative child either oblivious to or amused by most goings on. It's a good parallel for the reader, without getting too pretentious or stepping out of the universe, and a good kind of ultimate punch-line to all the drama of the Dragon Ball world; for all the dire stakes, the villains full of their power and authority, it's still a story by the author of Dr. Slump. Zen-oh shrinks the world in an amusing way.

And of course, as with all previous expansions of the scope of Dragon Ball's universe, Goku's simple good will influences him as well.

On a more specific note, I love that scene in episode 67 where he's just doing a weird victory dance in a void of nothingness when Goku and Trunks show back up.

I like Zeno as a destructive presence, like he was at the end of the Future Trunks arc.

I DON'T like lovable Zeno, like at the VERY end of the Future Trunks arc
