It's a good thing toriyama seems to not give them too much attention.
Having everyone old and piccolo saying he is too old to fight as an ending bugs me a lot, eoz should be changed
Piccolo is actually young for a namekian.
Yes, and yet eoz makes him say he is too old, or was that a mistranslation I saw :eh:
I don't remember him saying that at all.

IIRC, he says he has nothing to do against saiyans. The previous tournament showed that he doesn't like to fight if he is not going to look good.

Then it was a mistake on my part, it's good to know what I have hated about eoz is actually not the case at all..

It's undeniable it has last arc structure to it.
It's a fan speculation at this point without further official information
Every DB/Z arc has last arc structure to it. Piccolo, Saiyans, Freeza, Cell all felt like the finale. Even Goku Black's arc felt like a finale.

I really want to see teen/adult Trunks and Goten, and see Pan and Uub developed as if Toriyama was still writing.

So hopefully this is the last arc before the timeskip. Feels fitting if it is since all the major characters beyond Yamcha are here.

Dragon Ball Super will only end when it stops making Bandai millions upon millions of dollars. Of course from an in-universe perspective, the possibility of several other universe being destroyed greatly ruins any kind of possibility for villains to invade the main cast's universe and provide intriguing twist to the structure of the narrative, much like the Future Trunks arc. But the universe that the cast are in is still pretty damn big to compensate for that and provide many more adversaries for Goku and the gang to tackle.

I think Super will end when Toriyama is out of ideas. They don't have to announce anything for a final arc. GT never announce that the Shadow Dragon arc would be the final story in the show. There was a lot of buzz when GT ended in 1997 because I was told that no one thought the show would end and people thought the series was finally over for good.
