We can all agree the final 3 episodes (65-66-67) of the Arc were extremely rushed, with the fight between Vegito and Merged Zamasu lasting for about 10 minutes and Power Levels being trashed all over the place for Plot convenience. Those who care about logic and Power levels will probably think Super was mostly meh, those who just want cool as fuck scenes were not left disappointed, because things like Zamasu becoming the Universe and the Father-Son Galick Gun were really cool to watch.
This.. I mean let's be honest Dragon Ball has a simple formule it's not a difficult formula at all i mean this not Hunter x Hunter, if you mess the formula up then you're kidna stupid which Super is kinda doing with inconsistencies, power-scalling incredible bad, ass-pulls. With that said they could not even explain the little details like how the Pilaf gang turned into kids and how Trunks achieved that blue yellow form thing or how King Kai restored his planet again. So yeah Super is pretty mediocre i think to most people except nosalgia fans.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There will be those who hate but also like the movie re-tellings, the Champa arc and the Future Trunks arc in equal order. I think the most important thing that Super will judged on is how long it lasts. Because a show like Super overstaying its welcome can have a significant effect on how people view the show as a whole when looking back on it in hindsight.

Don't forget the quality, a lot of us would end up hating super if it was long and terrible, and at the same time we would love it to death if it was long and great

No matter how many good arcs it gets, we'll still watch Z for our fix.
True that. I'm watching the Frieza saga at the moment. He just went to a million lol.
I love Dragon Ball so much that I'm constantly complaining about how horrible Super is.

Black Goku / Future Trunks saga... was/is garbage.

Top 5 Favorite DBS Characters = Beerus, Whis, still waiting on the last 3 lol...

I didn't have that feeling even after discovering Black's identity. By this time the arc had fully invested me into the story line and I just HAD to see what was coming next.

Well, I wouldn't say rushed. Do we want another Majin Buu saga to repeat? I think not. What we got I was okay with. But maybe after all It's just a matter of preference.

The thing is the Dragonball fanbase isn't ONE group of fans. Some are in it because they love the cast, some are in it purely for action, some are here for power level discussions and then there's the others who are nostalgic for Z, and are hoping for more of the same of that.

Because the Dragonball fanbase is full of so many different factions, it's rather hard to say.

So far the popular consensus seems to be "Universe 6 Tournament onward has been good-great". If the Survival arc can keep up whatever the Black arc did and keep at it's level it should be looked at as pretty positive, easily beating GT, but probably won't overthrow Z for many fans. Might just give original Dragonball a little bit of competition if it's arcs get better and better though.

I can see it holding its own against the 1st 5 arcs but I'm not sure about the 23rd Tenkaichi arc.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Well as of now I'll remember it fondly. It's not the greatest part of the DB series but I still personally find it enjoyable. Personally unless it doubles in quality it wont catch Z or DB though.

I expect the fanbase's attitude towards Super to get better and better the more episodes come out, because then the movie retelling arcs will comprise an ever smaller percentage of the overall series, while now their shadow still hangs low over the series.

The Universe 6 arc was good and fun, and the Zamasu arc had moments of brilliance and was up there with the other high points of Toriyama's Dragon Ball work. It even introduced the first irreversible damage as a consequence of victory, which is the darkest thing that's happened in Dragon Ball so far (which is quite ironic seeing how previously fans had complained that Super wasn't dark enough).

For me Super has already left GT in the dust, it's not even a competition. If the Universal Survival arc turns out to be well-written, we'll have a real treat on our hands. Frankly, even its very premise promises tension, fantastic battles and possibly some intrigue, so it's really hard not to get excited. This is one thing Super does well that GT never did - powers high numerically carry an appropriate weight and importance with them. These guys can annihilate universes right now, while GT characters acted impressed that someone can blow up a freaking town. Thanks to Super, it seems like an even bigger failure in hindsight.

Let's see.... one decent arc, two very mediocre arcs (one being a remake that improves virtually nothing), and a shitty remake of a movie that's already shit in terms of writing... topped off with overhyped filler episodes.

It'll have it's moments but it's definitely not gonna stand the test of time like Dragon Ball/Z.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

That would have been true if not for dragon ball minus. A lot of fan believe the man has lost it

I don't really like DBS. In fact, I didn't like the BoG or RoF movies either. Even Toyotaro's work, which I'm fairly lenient on, isn't very good. I don't think they're particularly bad, but there's no hook other the fact that they fall under the Dragon Ball trademark. I see no reason to include DBS in any future DB re-viewing.

Frieza,Cell,Boo arc etc people have their own opinions what they like more or what they think about Super.....You will be surprised how many fans Super has
but mostly of them silence more calm than Z fans and don't complain much

Like numerous other shows, I think it'll have a following. It's gotten some great ratings, more are finding out about it, and it's being released in numerous countries. I don't really know the general consensus, but I definitely don't see it holding up the same way the original two stories did

I don't agree with that generalization. There's good and bad on both sides.

I can't speak for anyone else, but as of now I'd say I'd remember it with hatred since I only like one arc so far (the Future Trunks arc) and even then I'm a bit iffy about the ending. I'd say it needs to have at least two more arcs for me to like to remember it as anything more than a trainwreck. I mean as of now for me it goes like this:
DB: Godly
DBZ: Fantastic
DBGT: Meh
Battle of Gods movie: Pretty damn awesome
Ressurection of Frieza movie: Average
DBS: Trainwreck

We're only two arcs in so it is hard to say but I reckon fondly for the most part. I think things will be looked on back for better or worse after the initial reactions are out the way, balancing your thoughts. One of the reasons I am quite excited for the dub re-watch to see whether my thoughts change or not. It won't ever be fondly remembered as Z, 'cuz we aren't 7 coming home from school watching it everyday. It will be fondly remembered than GT and OG DB (simply because half the fan base still has no idea of it's existence).

If you don't count the movie adaptions we've technically only had two arcs so far, the Champa tournament and the Zamasu arc. Besides that there were fillers of various quality.

How the next arc turns out will also determine how people view Super.

I think the series will receive a mild to great degrees of appreciation, so an overall positive "place" in people consideration.

At the same time, the series will be perceived as very "exotic", something like "It was really a DB series?".
I really think most of the hate on it was a subconscious need for a strict theme continuity, while Super try to offer a different set of themes, moods and story.

So... a bittersweet feeling.
