Akira Toriyama's Thoughts!

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Excuse Me,

Can anyone just post all of the Toriyama interviews from the Daizenshuu's in this thread?

Do not worry about the translation I can translate them.

Thankyou for your help, God Bless. :)

That article (The 'Super Otaku one') was pretty amusing. The name, for one, was pretty stupid. The answers Toriyama gave (just didn't sound anything like the Toriyama in those interviews superstar), and of course, the translation.

Heh, have you tried punching the name "Nirazaki Tihashiberi" into a seach engine? The only results (about eight) all point to this interview. This, further proves that the name in made-up.
And some of the links show people actually believing it. *shakes head sadly*

If I ever made a manga that was turned into an anime, you better bet your biscuits that I'd watch it every week. And I also wonder what would happen in the next episodes! And I'd put the filler in my manga!

Toriyama-san: Yes I do. Doragonboru has come a long way. They went from running at super speed to moving at the speed of light! (Laughs)
I think Superstar is still trying to say that this proves the characters move at 'light speed'.

To nip this in the bud: no. This one, casual comment doesn't mean the characters do, in fact, move at light speed.
Where was that in the interviews, I cannot seem to find that.

Crap.

Whenever I see something to do with a Toriyama interview I get hyped up only to find it's one I've already read before!

There has to be some out there that I haven't read, even though he hasn't had THAT many, there must be at least one.

One thing I read which made me laugh is that when he's drawing a characters facial expression he will also have that expression on his face! And this is so true because I do the same thing, it's basically because you want to make sure you get the right expression on the characters face you are drawing, and you mimic the face to remind you of how it is to be drawn, even though I'm not looking in a mirror, so if I'm drawing a characters face scared I'll raise my eyebrows and start looking worried, and I once thought 'hold on...what the hell am I doing?!' I just laugh to myself!

This only works when I'm drawing it off by heart though, if I'm copying a picture the expression is already there so the mind trick doesn't come into play.

One thing we have in common!
