I can see either a win or loss against Toppo next week benefitting the general thrust of the arc. Goku winning means there's an even bigger target on his back, especially in the eyes of other members of the Pride Troopers(?). I personally think the Dr Robotnik of Dragonball (Toppo) will beat Goku down next week. Goku already beat Bergamo and I think the reason they slotted Toppo in right after is to showcase how strong the new guy is which is typical Dragonball.

A Kao Ken while in his blue haired god form isn't serious? I'm sure he was at around 60 to 70 percent of his full power by doing that.

how do you not see that Goku was In control of the match the entire time? He literally gave this guy as much power as he could just to be entertained. And even then he topped it. You even say it yourself. Only giving it 60 to 70 percent. Last time I checked that wasn't getting serious.

To further put this conversation in the coffin, Goku kept taunting him. Essentially asking him if he's capable of taking in anymore power. Smiling every step of the way.

Ditto, bald alien dude is probably stronger than his leader so he leaves Goku to him instead.
I would go for Toppo getting rekt, making Goku look more dangerous to the others, him losing will be like "yeah we got nothin to worry about anymore, Toppo can handle Goku" they need to put a lot more danger vibes to Goku for this to work.

Why did they animate him as the hooded guy 1st then change it later to fit toppos physique? I am absolutely hoping it wasn't a mistake and the bald alien guy is the main guy. But it's not like Toei and Toriyama have been on the same page recently. I mean just blatant dumb mistakes on their behalf. I wouldn't doubt they animated the wrong guy in the opening.

They have the whole story with characters, it must have been an error in making the hooded guy that's all..

You gotta read around there's rumors everywhere Toei and Toriyama weren't on the same page with the characters. I hope they didn't but they messed up on basic stuff already I wouldn't put it past them to animate the intro thinking the bald guy was Toppo.
